Extra lore bit: Hanzo used to fight with a sword, but he felt so ashamed by killing his brother with one, that he vowed to never fight with a sword again. He took up the bow and arrow instead, which is seen as a 'lesser' form of weaponry. (Was a detail said by the voice actor of Genji)

This is the cinematic that got everyone into the game for real. What a classic. Also Hanamura is my favorite map in-game!

Amazing reaction! I main Genji and Hanzo because of this short, I fell in love with the characters! The animation and voice acting are incredible. The emotion in Hanzo's voice when he says "It was my duty and my verdict, that does not mean I do not honor him." And the line when he says "do not speak to me about honor, you are not worthy to say his name." You definitely got a new subscriber in me ❤️

I like the detail how Hanzo pulls an arrow out of the wall lodged nearby to aim it at Genji near the end of the video. If you noticed, by this time in the story, his quiver is out of arrows. Also Hanzo seems to be skilled enough to know this without even checking. I also liked how this detail is symbolic of the fact that "Hanzo gave it everything he had" in that duel against Genji, literally running out of ammo. This fact is made even cooler by the scene at 4:14, where it looks like Genji might have intentionally cut the fletchings off of a few arrows on Hanzo's quiver with his triple shuriken throw, effectively making him run out of ammo faster. You also see Genji destroy an arrow with his Wakazashi, and intentionally deflect a few of them into irretrievable places, like off a cliff. Everything Genji did was to disarm Hanzo faster, probably so it would be easier to reason with him. Remember: Genji has been learning the ways of peace and harmony from Zenyatta for many years before this point. That being said, you can still see a lot of frustration with Hanzo being taken out by Genji in this, especially when he lunges at him with the Wakazashi.

Hanzo main present! Love these two. Honestly Overwatch could just be about Hanzo and Genji and I’d probably like it just as much if not more.
