Nop! I really like Allison but the writers went a bit too far with her this season. Even if Harlan didn't kill the mothers, Claire would probably still not exist because it's another version of Allison. But the worst part is that she killed an elderly, autistic and powerless man who only got screwed because of the siblings actions in the first place. It's a big nop.

If she used a braincell then she wouldn't have to be mad 👺 the new timeline changed many things so ofcourse it was going to change her family but instead she decided to spend the whole season in a depressive state. She was ready to abandon her family's trust just so she can go back to her daughter and the man that she rumored. Oh, speaking of that, did you guys forget that Allison literally forced Patrick to have an interest in her, similar to how she sexually assaulted Luther?

Allison was basically an antagonist this season. She let her traumas overcome her and took it out on her family.

@@dust9497 sexually assaulting Luther was terrible, but it was never proven she rumored Patrick. It was “suggested”, if anything. And she didn’t wanna go back to him anyway, she wanted to go back to Ray. Ray was an amazing person and very good for Allison. He kept her in check, to many extents. Allison is a great example of how trauma warps your mind - and yes, it can make you ugly. But as long as you are willing to change, there is hope. It was painful to watch but also a pretty realistic storyline.

​@@dakotajones674 luther was the most loyal member of the umbrellas. in the beginning, all his siblings left to live their own life while he stayed behind. he almost died because he went to a mission alone. still, he didn't abandon the family. he spent 4 years in moon because his father told him it was important. all his siblings went out and met new people and built new lives while luther stayed loyal to his father's vision of the umbrella academy. even though in season two he initially didn't want anything to do with the apocalypse he came back around for allison. no matter what their relationship was he loved her, even when she abandoned him and went to become a movie star. so yes luther went to the sparrow because the person he loved the most just sexually assaulted him. he did not feel safe there and after all this time luther deserved to have a chance at life and be free from the umbrella academy. why not? all his siblings did.

@@candycanerihe is less bothered by the sexual assault not because 'he knows her the best" but because of bad writing. yes he fell in love with the Sloane but he didn't join the sparrows because of it or more like that is not the only reason. at first, he was trying bring both families together so that he can be with Sloane. this is the guy who stayed behind even after all his siblings left. he even spent 4 years alone on the moon. he is loyal to the people he loves. but Allison, no matter their relation, was the one he loved the most amongst them and she betrayed his trust. after that he started to doubt everything. and also i didn't expect her to apologize immediately to luther but i did expect her to do it sincerely whenever she would have done it because she regretted her actions not manipulating him to vote the way she wants. but the show made it seem like what she did to Viktor was more horrible than what she did to luther. just because you know someone and you know that they had feelings for you doesn't mean it is okay to sexually assault them. it's almost like saying that domestic violence didn't occur or it's not that serious because the victim is not bothered by it. that doesn't mean that the abuser is right. that nothing happened there.

Well, I assume Harlan is Autistic by the way he acts and reacts to sound stimuli. As someone who had an Autistic brother, it is extremely normal for them to jump to unrelated conclusions when speaking to people. He probably felt about it and wanted to personally apologize to get that bad blood out of the way, not realizing she was talking about something else. Sure it can be argued that it’s still not great writing, but coming from someone who has experience with people who are neurodivergent, it seemed like a very real thing that would happen in real life

She wanted so save the world cuz ray told her to survive. In order to save the world they need the sparrows and they won't help them unless she delivers Harlan. It's actually pretty straight forward and was really well done

Her whole goal for this season was to find the briefcase and return to her "family" once she found out the briefcase was destroyed her goal was to then use Reginald to force a deal. In this episode shes with Harlan alone for a time before Viktor tries to remove his power, she could of killed him long before. She didn't kill Harlan to make a deal. She killed Harlan because he let it slip what he did to their mothers and Allison snapped once she realized Viktor kept it a secret. I don't think it's straight forward at all. 1. Allison wants to have her daughter and husband 2. Her husband and daughter don't exist in this timeline 3. Harlan kills her mother 4. She kills Harlan for killing her mother. Now why would she care about "her mother" if her whole goal was to leave that timeline in the first place? ANYTHING that happens here in the season 3 timeline should be meaningless to Allison if we operate on her mindset of "get back to my family no matter what"

I think they overdid it with Allison, BUT she can't go back in time and fix everything because of the kugelblitz, which was caused by the grandfather paradox caused by Harlan That's why she's so obsessed with the briefcase during the beginning of the season

@@theothersierrab957 right, but the show has already established from previous seasons and this season that time travel doesn't fix current issues. There's functionally no way to use time travel to get back what Allison wants. The only way for her to get what she wants is to; 1. Reset her current timeline. 2. Create a new timeline that replicates her desired timeline and even then there's no guarantee her life comes out 1:1 the same. So again this timeline was fucked the moment they traveled back in season 2. None of it was caused by Harlan and nothing she wants can be attained by just "traveling back" it involved more tinkering that only Reginald could of done. She killed Harlan for killing her parents when her daughter wouldn't of existed anyways because of the academy's actions in season 1 and 2.

@@kellz9972 Season one and two were all about using time travel to fix current issues. I suppose you could make the agrument that the whole thesis of the show in it's entirety, is that time travel only makes things worse but that would make the show pretty pointless, then five should have never time traveled back to his family in the first place in the first episode of season one. He should have just accepted the apocalypse by that logic. The only reason they travel back in season 2 is to stop what happens in season 1... where they all die. The Commission uses time travel to fix the time line to their liking, and we see Lila go to Berlin in 1989. For her to have some version of what she wants, I don't think that's impossible. If her mother wasn't killed and her daughter was still never born because she wasn't in the umbrella academy, she could go back and rumor hargreeves into letting her join the umbrella academy, or maybe even just prove it to him Or she could try to meet her husband at the right time and make a baby with him. She would just have to stay away from her dooplegander who was born to a teacher somewhere. None of those things, by the logic of the show, would create a grandfather paradox. Or she could at least get back to Ray. She would probably be a time criminal running from the Commission, but also possibly not since she was in the 60s for a year with no issues until five showed up

She's not really complex? She's a person who forces men to have an interest in her and then she plays the victim in every situation that she is wrong. @@KylaTalks okay for one, Five didn't kill Lila's parents the handler did. The whole point of his past is he's not proud of it. Viktor was forgiven of his actions because he wasn't fully at fault for them. He only half, barley, intentionally destroyed the world once. Season one Allison literally hated Viktors existence, the whole point of their relationship was she never supported or defended him. She kept her taking away his power to herself. Everything Allison has done has been due to trauma yes but she has done it intentionally, she had a moment of clarity when she almost sexually assaulted Luther which proves she is conscious of her decisions. She's not caring about the others or collective outcome. All she cares about is her self and all she has supposedly lost like the others haven't lost anything themselves. It's a normal reaction to not forgive her as easily as the others. Just because she isn't getting the same treatment doesn't make it out to be racist or sexist. Every season has a most hated character. It's her turn. She just is going down a far worse rabbit hole here.

You would know that if you read the comics. She becomes a huge Villain to the group. Emmy in interviews has been very happy and has said that she really liked Allison's journey and how they uncover layers of her character that had really shown very little like in season one that she told the rumor to Luther, her daughter and who knows who else, I think Allison herself knows that she has the potential to be a villain and that's why she didn't use her powers as much but in this mentally unstable situation she is

I mean victor killed pogo and five is a literal assasin. it's not like people haven't killed innocent people before in this show but somehow alisson is treated differently when she kills someone. but what's funny is the rest of the umbrells also wanted to give up harlan who would have been killed by the sparrows and they knew this. it's not victors decision to decide that on his own like five said. they all were pretty much in agreement with giving harlan over and then victor took it upon himself to hide him..like...

But what usually puts me off is her major tendency to be manipulative and controlling. like from season one when she rumored Patrick to love her. By doing that she forced him to marry, have sex and have her child. Then there’s the whole rumoring her kid and blaming/projecting her mistake on everyone else (including Patrick). Even though with context he had every right to not trust Allison with their child. And then the way she sexually assaulted Luther. story-wise it’s entertaining. But character wise it gives her a layer of evil and villainous moral.

I don't think Reginald changing the name would cause that much of a paradox. Also, Reginald did not get the opportunity to skip the umbrella babies he chose previously because they weren't even born.

she literally sexaully assaulted luther basically... then killing harlan.... shes her own character now yes but her character now is an asshole. if they had actually treated viktor like one of them from the start then none of this wouldve happened and yet they still go after viktor. the only reason harlan even had powers is cus viktor tried to save little harlan. he had no idea it would give harlan powers. and its kinda shown that she even used her powers to get her ex husband to love her. she used her powers for bad whereas viktor didnt actually know what he was doing because they never gave him the chance to understand his own powers. i honestly loved her character in season 1 and 2 and yes i wanted more alison but not villian alison which is what we get in season 3 and yet they STILL blame it all on Viktor. im sick of the " this is viktors fault" when its not even half viktors fault. he is the bomb yes but someone had to have lit him for him to explode. he doesnt always explode. only when lit. alison was taught about her powers. she should know better not to use it on HER OWN FAMILY. i lost all respect for her when she rumored luther and lost even more respect after killing harlan

THANK YOU!!!! I couldn't put it into words but Alison was damn near killed by "Viktor" in season one and all she was trying to do was warn her about her crazy boyfriend. That would of been enough for me but Alison chose to forgive her. season 2 Alison is happy and married but chooses her family to help save the world. "Viktor" chose his girlfriend which is how he got caught by the government. Then season 3 Alison is sick of Viktors bullshit calls him out and now she's the bad person. The whole Luther scene they could of kept that.
