Күн бұрынWritten by Chip Zdarsky and primarily illustrated by Marco Checchetto, the first issue in this run of Daredevil was published by Marvel Comics in February of 2019, with 50th and final issue being released in August of 2023. And Daredevil has broken his one rule. In a daze of denial, and with a righteous new detective on the force hunting him down, Matt Murdock needs to clear his name whilst on the run… but what if he’s not innocent to begin with? And who will be there when a turf war erupts on the streets? And how will Elektra stepping back into his live affect the legacy he’s built within Hell’s Kitchen?

@@MaddoggComics Always enjoy your vids dude! In my personal opinion, I feel like it's on par. His Spider-Man kinda reminds me of on the early half of the Nick Spencer run if he'd stuck with that format.

Daredevil Mat Murdock being a priest is the best thing that happened to the charcter, it is a perfect fit.

Chip Zdarsky created a very entertaining & thrilling run. Loved the religious aspect that he leaned on throughout it as well. One of the best runs as well. I loved it so much. Can’t wait for the omnibuses. Well done in depth review bro. Loved your critiques.

This run got me into comics and manga. Seeing Elektra as daredevil, in Funko Pop form, peaked my interest. Now I have 2 full bookshelves of manga, collected editions and omnibus. Great vid!

That is one of the toughest competitions in comics haha! I think I'm still leaning Bendis, but I do have nostalgia bias for it, Zdarsky is a great pick as a favourite though! Hope you enjoyed the video! 🐶

I actually thought the final arc of the book was the best part, that issue where Daredevil and Elektra fight, and the fight against the Punisher are two of my favorite comic issues ever

Yeah the second half of this run was a bit of a letdown. To be fair I'm typically not a huge fan of Hand storylines in Daredevil books anyways. Like you said though, this is a pretty good run but there's some seriously tough competition when it comes to writing Daredevil. Bendis (my favorite), Brubaker, and Waid did some of the best work in their careers on Daredevil.

In the current climate of bad writing and politics in comics -- Chip's run was refreshing, grounded, and definitely unapologetic. This and the short Daredevil and Elektra run were some of my favorite comics of 2023.

What I didn't like of Zdarsky's run is that it added too many random elements and it wasn't clearly following any particular direction. We had: Kingpin, Mike Murdock, The Stromwyns, the Fist, the Hand, Elektra becoming Female DD, Kingpin's son, Iron Man doing or not doing something, DD recruiting people, DD becoming a religious nut, Officer Cole, Spider-man being mad at DD, DD goes to jail (again). A bunch of loose threads with no clear direction and ultimately boring.

DD is a tragic figure. Chip put him through hell. Cole was a good charater. Matt has to pay for his sins. Kingpin tries to vet out. Still corrupt in politics. Mat get laid a lot. Bookeeper giving it up was just another girl for him to bang. Self destrutive and just for him to be involved in the gang war. Cole figting cops was cool and dark. Bullseye was a beast. Not a big fan of Devil Reigh. Kingpin really obsessed with DD identity and trying to stay Major. Killing fake brotherHate Purple Man and Kinpin losing power and allies

The endnof the run went too much into supernatural against a new Punisher. Punisher has gone down hill with his whole new backstory Stop being groundedband now he is a priest😮 . Went for it all
