The Unconquered Route | Le Petit Brevet 'Misery'

In 2021 Le Petit Brevet 'Misery' route was created by event organiser Andy Chalmers. That year Rufus and I decided to attempt this ridiculous route and try to complete the 15,000m of climbing before the 38 hour cut off.
We both failed miserably, and so have all other attempts.
Last week I decided to give this route a try. As expected, it was absolutely brutal!

Well done Joe. I knew we were in for something special when you messaged about the GPX file. Thanks for mentioning that the route was never designed to be ridden, rather to make the 300km route more appealing. Well done Joe on getting it done despite the terrible design.

Holy Shit Joe, that is phenomenal! I had tried to mapped so many variations using the Southern Bays but didn't think people would do the out n backs on the same road in the event, and it would be hard to "manage". Good on Andy for putting out that route. Congratulations man!

WOW! Amazing ... did several bays in a 4WD at Easter 2022. So know some of the route. Videoing must slow you down ... but I guess it's proof that you've done the course ... along with the GPS tracker.

That is one Very Impressive effort physically and mentally. We'll done. I see a few other endurance cyclists i follow drinking chocolate milk also. Is there a reason or is it just a nice thick refreshing drink ?

Packed with fat and sugar and it also hydrates at the same time. Chocolate over other flavours because it doesn't linger like fruit flavoured milk. Also alleviates a dry throat somewhat from breathing dry and/or dusty air. That's my experience with it.
