@ModernDayRenaissanceMan9 ай бұрын
I wrestled from 03-07. Head shots were common then. Especially in the indies when you were trying to get over. I always made sure to get a hand up & try not to take a straight shot but sometimes the spot called for a surprise attack or you already being out & someone would go overboard & swing twice to make it look good. You'd be surprised how thin the line is between taking a liberty & making it look good. We don't rehearse like the big boys so we aren't out there counting 2 chair shots. Usually it's "I'm going to lay you out with the chair" meaning 1 head shot. Or "I'm going to give you a beat down" to which you can expect 5-10 chair shots & you feed them your back etc & roll around. Sometimes things get lost in communication & you end up taking a shot where you're not ready. I've had 4 concussions that I would call standard concussions but now that I've learned about CTE & what a REAL concussion is... I've probably had hundreds. It's no wonder why I developed a neurological disorder. Dysautonomia is very rare. What sucks is not having the money to do anything about it & never having been famous enough to have it mattered.
@XplosionYT9 ай бұрын
I think it mattered, friend. You entertained hundreds/thousands of people by putting your body on the line, and that's definitely something to be proud of 👑 Then again, I understand one might want to get rewarded for what they put themselves through so maybe that's what you were implying by saying it didn't matter, but either way I salute you
