What a great find; I saw this bus being driven around Whitby in summer of 2011. I was visiting for the day, and time was running out, so I had to head for home to York, and missed out.

The DVD is a great reminder of when she ran around Whitby, there is also Elizabeth's 80th Anniversary DVD where she was driven down to The Lord Mayors Show in London, this can also be bought on E-Bay, please note if you need a DVD sent to Canada postage may be £5.00 extra.

I would dearly love to ride in one of these. I have ridden in the cab of a steam locomotive, stoked the fire on a 75Case. Never to be forgotten. But, I have never even seen a steam powered road vehicle. You Brits used much more steam, and you PRESERVED so much of it. Just too cool!

There is steam truck preserved in the Municipality museum in Colombo. It was possibly used to carry away rubble and garbage in the 1920s or so. Don't know if it is in working condition.

The answer to our dependence on oil and liquid fuels. This runs on fuel that anyone can grow, harvest and replant. And then, just add water!

This one was converted from a flat bedded waggon in 2005-2006 and at one time was a tar sprayer, don't think steam buses were mass produced.
