Any and all HBCU bands would and could out play and entertain them.

If playing simple arrangements very loud (blatting) in the upper registers (often accompanied with intonation problems), sloppy/simple drum cadences and dancing girls who pelvic thrust/ twerk and spread eagle is your thing, than perhaps so.

@@stillbill6408 I see, you haven't seen one of the best HBCU Marching Bands perform in person. What you just typed is nothing more than hearsay and stereotypes. Like the Million Dollar Band, a HBCU Marching Band has won the Sudler Trophy. A HBCU alumnus is LSU's Tiger Marching Band Director. Lack of Knowledge = Ignorance.

@@terrancethornton8539 You may be correct when you say I have not seen "one of the best HBCU perform in person" (I have seen some on the internet and have been impressed with those who have adapted the corp style drum cadences and marching precision into the show style). You are wrong when you claim I am ignorant as I have grown up in the very heart of the "show band" territory and have witnessed the very evolution of this style of marching. When the majority of a group (not all) perform in a particular manner, it is truth not stereotyping. I hope LSU's new band director maintains LSU's excellent corp style marching tradition. The sound of rhythmic blatting low brass and screeching, out of tune trumpets playing in the upper registers is annoying. We will not even entertain the idea of Golden Girls gyrating their hips, pelvic thrusting, twerking and spread-eagling on the field or street. Ignorance = Lack of Knowledge.

What this failed to say, is they were playing Michigan, and DEDICATED their entire performance and halftime show to COPYING THE MUSIC OF THE MCHIGAN MARCHING BAND! It seems over the years, and few times Bama and Michigan has played, Alabama's Band ALWAYS takes something from Michigan's band back with them! LIKE ALL OF THEIR MUSIC!

WTF do you have woodwinds in a marching band for? You can't hear them from the football field.
