I’m a university of Rhode Island graduate, class of 1984. Engineering degree. I find this abhorrent. However, I could see signs of this even back in 1984.

My daughter graduated URI class of 2020. She’s supposed to finally have her ceremony in a a few weeks. Glad she’s out. My older daughter is getting her masters somewhere else. That’s a whole other story

You can be as diverse of a candidate as you want, but if you don't bring in grant money the college won't want you.

Just go up to them and ask, is this against the Civil Rights Act? If it is, then strip it of federal funding.

A lot of those normal recourses are not available in a Democrat controlled DC. This is why the argument that the two parties are two sides of the same coin is so dangerous. Only one of the two parties blocks traditional legal/ political consequences for misbehavior such as this. There are obviously Republicans who are actually Democrats in disguise, but the difference between what is prosecuted and what is ignored seems most stark when Democrats are running the DOJ, etc.
