If the raspy and glitch voice was always there then it would not work as a way to get people where he want them. He just hear it's normal voice but how survivers her his voice is how it sound when there under the powers effect

The devs have stated before that a disguising killer wouldn't work because swf would too easily counter it.

Its because it was mimicking the voice of cinema movie? Literally it happens near cinema it was often hearing it and it now says words from movie. It knows what they mean and uses them to lure victims etc. But it totally learnt it all from voices it heard.

It is 100% sentient. Its in-game lines are just it trying to lure the victim closer. In its lore it is stated that "it stole voices of those it consumed so as to lure others to their doom", but that's just legends. The Unknown itself is an urband legend with most of what is known to it being just folk tales and made-up bullshit. It is straight up saying coherent sentences in the character select screen. Bro's sentient. This distorted mix of male & female voices is just the closest thing to a human speech it can pull.

That would've made him probably one of the weakest killers in front of highly skilled players, but for players who have just started playing dbd, it would be a nightmare, my suggestion, make this killer free for everyone, so it becomes more popular among players who are beginners. They should also make it so it can transform into a survivor(and it can't attack in its transformed state) and when any survivor tries to heal, they become exposed, and transforming back to killer takes like 3-4 seconds so as to give them a chance to run. Like imagine how creepy that would be. They can also make it so as their grunts of pain have a very slight distortion like if someone pays really close attention to their groans, they can find out the distortions in voice and know that its an unknown. Also, while it is transformed, perks like spine chill won't work.

Not quite. It's specifically stated in the lore that the voices are the victims, that's why there is a male and female version. It copies the voices and quotes of the victims to lure them, and seems to be able to string a few sentences together by itself

If I recall, the line is "I've lived in dungeons long forgotten". I assumed it maybe has been in the realm before? Maybe another part of it, like the void. And with how it essentially kicked and screamed when the entity took it into the realm in its lore, maybe it has already been there and it didn't want to be back there? Interesting to think about.

It already has this form in that video, though it may have stolen his clothes. The lore suggests that the true ''Unknown''is the tentacled mass we see when performing the more and UVX, and the body is formed by people's ideas on what it looks like

There’s at least 7 different voices it uses in the Public Test Build from what I heard. 1. dogs bark, 2. low female voice, 3. higher female voice, 4. low male voice, 5. higher male voice, 6. Vocal fry male voice 7. polyphonic voice and screeches All produced ANALOG (except the dog bark I’d presume) style without pitching up, by the same VA I believe, I think that’s pretty impressive. Lastly, From what I heard there’s gonna be more lines and voices when the dlc officially releases on the 14th of March. This is just the Public Test Build.
