Let the randomness begin!
Episode themes are GONE! Because of this I was able to eliminate more Uno versions than I would have been able to had this episode been themed! THIS IS A GOOD THING!
Due to the lack of theming, some of the most obscure Uno versions are present in this video, and I still have a bunch of obscure ones left for the remainder of the series!
Speaking of the end of the series, we are SO CLOSE to phase 1's completion! GET HYPED! Tell your friends we've almost made it! The end of the addition list approaches soon!
I can't wait to make the phase 2 videos because they'll have completely different topics in each one which will provide some great variety. Phase 2 and beyond is an excellent motivator for me. I want to play this game physically just as much as you do!
Oh yeah by the way, the box used in the thumbnail is a real box, but it is not representative of what the final Chemicards box will look like at all haha. That box is actually the custom box I designed when I first started combining Uno versions with my friends! It was made over a year before this channel was even created! It's big and heavy. XD

I think there should still be an alternative rule for the Veefriends social media rule. I know there is the general one-fits-all rule "If an effect is not possible, nothing happens", but that would really give a huge advantage to people without social media accounts. I believe it would be within the spirit of the game to reveal your hand to everybody if you cannot post them, seeing as posting them would do exactly that, ideally. That rule would also fix exploits the other way around. I could totally pick some obscure social media or even some platform that is invite only, which would be funny one time but really annoying if one player always posts their cards to clubhouse. I know that making this rule change hurts the "keeping the spirit of the mechanic" rule, but there has to be some change made to keep this game accessible and fair, seeing as the viability of this mechanic can be different for each player, not necessarily being the same for the entire group like the pizza rule. Love your work, this will be amazing!

Maybe if you know you'll be playing with someone who doesn't use social media you bring one of those Polaroid style cameras that print out the photo right away Only works if you plan ahead (or happen to own one already), but you still get to take the pic which to me is the real fun of this mechanic

The game mode where the lowest score wins after you reach the point threshold is actually how I learned how to play UNO. I just always treated it as a variant of what Gameloft called Challenge UNO, where it goes by elimination and last player standing. I like to call this variant "going by Hearts scoring", because it reminds me of that. But I adore finding new game modes.

The fact that I've been able to watch this series near religiously whenever a new episode comes out from when it started to now is wild. Like I've watched all videos within 24 hours of their release period. This series is so cool, and while its kinda sad to see the combining format be finished soon, I'm really excited to see the rest of this project through!

I think that a funny way to deal with the issue of not everyone having access to social media problem would be having the affected player use pencil and paper to draw the post. Yes, you would have to draw both yourself and your hand. Yes, you would have to not just draw the selfie, but also likes, usernames, and other elements indicating it's supposed to be a social media post. This is why i find it funny.

I had an idea for something that could go into a deluxe box, that you mentioned in a previous video. It’s basically a gigantic poster that has all of the rules for the entire game on it in very small text. I feel like since there’s so many cards you can cut the amount of cards used into two by having certain cards and colors on different sides, like for Uno Flip. One moment you think you know the game, next thing you know you’re playing a different ballgame with another strategy. You have an even amount of colors, so you can have colors exclusive to one side. Love the video series, and I’m looking forward to getting a physical copy!

Not to design a whole other game, but like, you could make the colors into elements, and you can either play the appropriate element OR switch it up by playing the opposite (eg if it's nuclear you can also play psychic above it and that maybe gives you some benefits?) Plus the protagonists being on the WILDCARD is wayyy too good of a pun to miss out on. Get on it Matel!

I am nearly there with the Uno 2 Go game 😁 At least I am hoping that I am nearly done with it, and the game doesn't surprise me with the last Route suddenly having more mechanics that normal 🤣 But I'd kind of recommend you wait until the final episode to implement all the remaining Digital Uno games. With them all being so mechanicly heavy, it'd be so much fun to see them all together, and they'd probably make the last episode more memorable. (And that would give me more time to hopefully confirm the Uno 2 Go game doesn't suddenly add more mechanics than expected 😅)

I understand the logic behind adding that Veefriends mechanic, but it does feel a bit spiritually incompatible with the vehemency of not adding things that assume access to extraneous technology in prior episodes. Rather, it almost seems like something that should be up to a vote. After all, that would -- as of this point -- be the one and ONLY reason you could not theoretically engage with every single game mechanic with purely the materials provided in the box. Is it worth it?

You're right, but that's the fault of Veefriends. XD That version works under the same philosophy so I'm not going to go out of my way to change it. Not to mention you can always house rule out cards you don't like AND there's a general rule in the rules doc which states if an effect is not possible it is nullified, so it seems like the bases are covered.

Hey, I'm not sure if others have brought this up or not, but if it's possible you need to change the "yell Uno when you get down to one card" rule, you could maybe change it to be "Yell 'one' in any language you choose when you get down to one card"

13:09 now, when it says "all other players draw 2 cards, does that include the player who played the "steal" card? Also very funny how effectively everyone does gain two cards (except for the player who played the steal, even if they still draw two, since they got rid of two first), but whoever takes the face up card both knows half of what they're getting, yet so does everyone else. And of course there's the possibility of someone winning the game while the card is still lying there - or someone grabbing it JUST as someone calls UNO!

Well I have doub if this mechanic is in the amalgam -its from "UNO décimo aniversario de la plática Polinesia" (yup is another's polinesios's UNO), this uno have an token which is necessary for a wild card, the token start in the table until you play a card (I don remember which card is, if is specific wild or certain card) and get the token The wild card call ¡mira! (Translate as look this or look that) Whit have the effect of all players must draw 3 cards except the player who played this card and the player whit the token Whit a lot of versions of uno in the amalgam is hard keep track This uno version I found in the KZfaq recommendations and a video in Spanish

@@MassacresMansion you welcome however i made some errors and some extra info - the UNO is called "10 (decimo) aniversario platica polinesia" no soo far but is almost the same - this UNO have also the holografic/foil (unsure) but very cheap token and is flop as product for making the product too expensive (more than the 50 aniversary edition) - the token is called "ficha del decimo aniversario" (token of 10 aniversary if translated) and you gain the token if you play a skip , reverse, draw two, draw four, wild card or wild card ¡mira! (all the action cards in this version) you gain the token -this UNO have the colors green, purple, pink and red and the video is called (i rewached for avoid errors) "La ficha y el comodín especial de los Polinesios • Cómo jugar el UNO polinesios 10 aniversario" form TedUno ¡el canal donde solo hay UNO!
