Using Psalm 89:5-7 and other biblical passages, they provide compelling evidence that these 'elohim' are not human judges, but rather spiritual beings. This revelation is crucial for understanding the spiritual realm and recognizing how these beings interact with our world today. We are all to become apart of the family of God, for Christ himself said is it not written you are all gods? The end goal for mankind is to awaken to our inheritance after the resurrection and be as God in heaven and be apart of his family and get our new name.

@@4by55wlk3rGenesis also says we were made in the image and likeness of Elohim. And we were originally put here to inherit the earth and have authority over every living creature and over the entire earth itself. That's a great privilege that even the angels in heaven don't have. So yeah I kinda agree with you. Unfortunately sin came into the world and it is still a problem

@@4by55wlk3r 2 Peter 1:3-4 [3]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: [4]Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Do you mean to tell me when God said to have no other gods before me, He really meant it? That makes sense. The apostle Paul went to Corinth and saw the statues of other gods then found a memorial to the unknown god. I always wondered why he didn't tell them that all the other gods weren't real, but said about the unknown God, let me tell you about this one!

@gene4231 Haha! I can't tell you how many times I've asked the same question of people. Why would God have said "no other gods before me" if there weren't other gods? 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are people who are practicing their faith who think the only 2 spiritual beings in the universe are God and the devil… but they’d also say “oh yeah demons and angels probably exist”. But don’t make the connection that “hey that means a lot about the world we live in!!”

Yeah I was having lunch with a guy today (love him) but his understanding of the Torah was for the most part materialistic. Which is no fault of his--that's the default position in our culture, for now. Hopefully we can at the very least start turning people's heads to what's beyond just what we can see.

Psalm 82 is speaking to Israel and the church. Jesus also confirmed that God called people who receive the word of God, gods or God. We are the gods, the sons of the most High. God never called evil ones gods

This view is not uncommon. However, it ignores a plain reading of the text as it would have been understood by the writer and the audiences at the time. The authors of Scripture (inspired by the Holy Spirit) had a supernatural view of the world around them. When they used the term, "elohim" they understood that to mean beings from a spiritual realm which is why in Psalm 82 God says they will die "like" men, but not "as" men. In terms of John 10, the passage you're referring to when Jesus quotes Psalm 82, I'd encourage you to go back and read it (and study it) in the context of Jesus using this passage to prove his deity to the Pharisees. It would make no sense for him to say "we're all gods" because he was pointing out something unique about himself compared to them. The idea that he's proving his divine, spiritual nature with Psalm 82 as the proof text, proves to an even further degree that Psalm 82 is talking about divine, spiritual beings. Thank you for stopping in!

@VeiledKingdoms Jesus said "...to whom the Word of God came. God sends His Word to people ,not angels. Divine beings means deities. Angels are spirit beings buy not Divine. The only beings God's word called Divine, other than God HimSelve are people who know God. 2 Peter 1:4 [4]Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Nowhere is the term "divine beings " ever used in the Holy Bible.

@innocentcomputer-sf5ph Yeah I feel there's a great deal of context you're missing here. You can't possibly be making the argument that the Word of God has never come to angels, given that the word in the Greek literally means messenger, and the message they carry is the Word of God. The people talked about in 2 Peter 1.4 are people who have received the new heart as participants in the New Coveneant (Ezek 36.25-27) and could not be referring to Psalm 82. You said "nowhere is the term 'divine beings' ever used in the Holy Bible, and yet the LSB translates the Hebrew word, "elohim" this way several times--as well as god, holy ones, watchers, etc. And I think this is your disconnect--you have a stanch presupposition that lesser gods cannot exist which is not at all what Scripture teaches. This doesn't mean we're a polytheistic religion because elohim (god) doesn't designate power or forebearance or preexistence, or eternality--it only means "a being from the spiritual realm" of which there are thousands if not millions. I don't expect to change your mind, but most people who hold your position have abandoned the supernatural view of the world that the biblical writers clearly possessed. You think saying there are "elohim" other than Yahweh somehow implies polytheism, and it doesn't. It just means that God created other lesser spiritual beings. Two of the most renown contemporary Heberw scholars in the world (Tim Mackie w/ Bible Project, and the late Michael Heiser (Unseen Realm)) hold our position. Take a look at their work before you dogmatically make claims that I'm not sure you fully understand. I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you. Not because I don't enjoy the company and the discourse, but because I have to keep working on our next video. I've already taken more time on this comment than I should have. Feel free to take the last word if you want it. Have a great day. And thanks for stopping by.
