Dr. Regnerus discusses the science behind current issues around gender identity, such as affirmative care and the rise of gender dysphoria among youth. Especially in the United States, medical research has been affected by external political pressure and predetermined conclusions. Dr. Regnerus challenges what so much of culture is telling us to believe and encourages us to talk about these issues.

This is going to be a tough fight. Slim chance women will win this one. Why? Because the elite still practice Eugenics and gender surgery allows them to castrate/sterilize young people in the thousands without people realizing that is what they are actually doing. Just to show you how happy the elite are with the situation, there was an explosion of young girls IDing with the other gender. Starting around 2011 it took off. We also know many of these kids have brain damage in the form of Autism. So, that is over a decade of a rising problem. Has the media/scientists ever tried to figure out the cause? They don't know why but society was all set up ready to fix this problem. It seems obvious a chemical/toxin hss been released that is messing with kids hormones. But oh no we can't find out what it is. We must keep on putting girls under the knife. We live in a crazy place. I feel sorry of the kids who have been robbed of "normality"

No, not at all. Children are primarily given the opportunity to socially transition, and typically the only type of hormone intervention they are supposed to be provided is puberty blockers. If someone changes their mind (which is incredibly rare) they only need to get off the blockers and eventually they will be reversed. Hormone blockers aren't some sort of infertility boogie man. The earliest someone could access any form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is 16 and only with parental consent. Otherwise you need to be 18 or older. For those seeking that kind of stuff, there are fertility options such gamete or tissue cryopreservation. Like any other major medical decision, the risks should be discussed and weighed with a doctor. Another question. Lets say a young hetro boy is raped and then grows up to be gay. He blames his change on being raped and wants to be hetro again. He goes to get conversion therapy in the hope he can get back what was stolen from him. Do you consider that wrong? Would you ban that sort of therapy? If it is wrong to change a homosexual into a heterosexual even when they ID as hetero, then why is it ok to change a young woman into a man just because she IDs as a man? Why is it ok to force a change in biological sex through surgery, but it isn't ok to change sexual behaviour through therapy? I bet it would be far easier to change sexual behaviour. Safer.

Gender is a word for what culturally happens to either sex. Gender is a word coined by sociology. Gender identity ideology has completely misappropriated the term to pretend it’s an innate feeling. Gender is what happens to individuals because of their sex. Eg women wear dresses, that is a cultural practice for the female sex, that is gender n action. Sex and gender are now used interchangeably, but they were never meant to be used that way. The term gender non conforming is used to explain individuals who don’t conform to the gender roles that society and culture expect of that individuals sex. It never meant that the individual was the opposite sex in the wrong body. It is impossible to be born in the wrong body. Gender identity ideology is ridiculous and has completely misappropriated the term gender since what they really are taking about is issues with biological sex. These people have sexuality issues.

Over-all, I think this is an excellent presentation. I have recommended it to others. That said, I will make the following observation/comment: As far as his presentation goes, his general definition of the word "gender" works. That is, he is using the word gender coherently throughout his presentation, but it is in fact only that - a _use_ of the word and not the actual definition of the word. By definition, the word is a grammatical term only. For a number of decades the word has been used else-wise, but this does not make these uses the definition of the word. This comment does not undermine in any way what is being presented here, but I do think that this issue is so important that we use words in a precise a way as possible. You can find my work on the question of the definition of the word Gender on my new channel. Again, this presentation is forceful and worthy of our attention. Thank you.

The problem is that they’ve taken this word that is a construct and decided that they’re going to make it a materially real quality. They’ve created an imaginary box around genitals that says they both are and aren’t there. It isn’t his fault that this ideology is playing with language and reality.

We have to discuss this from the root philosophies. So many people are only addressing the transition of children as an issue without addressing that the science behind the entire idea is non-existent, that the insistence on body modification as a right entitling you to infiltrate female spaces legitimately puts women at risk, and that removing healthy tissue and treating mental disorders through the body has the potential to shift how we treat all psychological issues and opens up the space for any mental health issue to label itself as a civil rights issue and demand affirmation.

Gender dysphoria doesn't kill people directly like cancer does, but it still can lead to inhumane amounts of distress. Here are some quotes from the same source he mentioned (the one from Micheal Biggs): "Compared to the United Kingdom population of similar age and sexual composition, the suicide rate for patients at the GIDS (the clinic) was 5.5 times higher." "The fact that deaths were so rare should provide some reassurance to transgender youth and their families, though of course this does not detract from the distress caused by self-harming behaviors that are non-fatal." The letter was meant to compare suicide attempt rates to fatalities as attempts are horrifically common (14 percent of trans high schoolers in the U.S. attempted within a 12 month period according to his source.) Just because something isn't guaranteed to kill someone doesn't mean the very real distress should go without proper treatment.

I was curious if this had a different perspective that still supports Trans people, but. No. This is harmful and not based on factual information. While Trans people can be all shades under the political spectrum, note that those who talk like this, usually wish nothing good for said community. It isn't a liberal thing to be Trans, as being Trans is personal, and like anyone else who experiences their conventions on their gender, it's become just another talking point, another group to spread misinformation about, for certain political figures. Respectfully, no. Those Trans folk, Trans youth included, that are accepted for who they say they are, that receive the care they need, are less likely to feel the need to get away, to be depressed, or in extreme situations, have suic***al ideations. To deny any Trans person whatever medical care, they seek, helps only those that would rather see Trans people suffer. I truly suggest, if you care about Transgender people, and helping Transgender people, listen to Transgender folk, and those who work with them on the daily. If you don't, then. Just be upfront about it, yeah?

94% of transgender people reported being happier after transition. (Over 90,000 surveyed) From a different study, SRS regret rate is 2%, with the top regret of that 2% being "choice of surgeon". 10% face violence from a family member when they come out. 8% kicked out of the house. Another 10% run away from home. Suicide rate is sky high for trans kids pre-transition. By college age, 40% have attempted suicide. That's 40% of those alive at that age, so not including dead kids. Another 90s study found every trans woman and cis woman had a thicker corpus collosum and anterior collosum than men. The trans men similarly all had make brains. The talk was detailed, but felt it left out the most telling numbers from the largest sample size studies, for whatever reason. It helps to know what kind of suicide rate we're talking about for trans teens. Suicide rate was lower for the teens who said they have at least one supportive parents. That's where the "dead daughter or living son" dilena comes from.

Are you not concerned about "health care" which renders very young people sterile? Are you not concerned about a "treatment" which has a high risk of rendering the patient incapable of orgasm, and for MtF a much higher chance of having inadequate material for the usual practice to create a vagina but which instead requires a different source? We forbid those under 18 or 21 to engage in activities which pose danger bit not irremedial danger. They can quit smoking, they can quit drinking, they can make sure they have a designated driver. Smoking and drinking alcohol are much less likely to cause damage to the body than does "gender affirming" treatment.

The letter was to compare suicide attempts to fatalities, as attempts are horrifically frequent (15 percent of trans U.S. high schoolers in a year long period). Gender dysphoria causes real suffering even if it doesn't result in a fatality. Once again to quote his source: "The fact that deaths were so rare should provide some reassurance to transgender youth and their families, though of course this does not detract from the distress caused by self-harming behaviors that are non-fatal." The "would you rather have a living son, or a dead daughter" was not in his source.

It was once thought that a simple dna test would reveal the child’s sex. It becomes a little more complex when considering the fact that chimeras exist among us and humanity can only speculate at this point as to the frequency of this phenomenon.
