I went through the system as a youth and young adult. I remember watching They Call Us Monsters multiple times when it was released. I still watch it from time to time. To see Jarad and now Juan released and interviewed on this channel is such a relief. I look forward to seeing the other two on here eventually. Keep up the incredible work.

loved this interview, very well done. Juan is so well spoken and very articulate. One viewer feedback note-Mic placement, for better sound quality for many of us can you consider extending the mics closer? At times the sound quality would linger in and out and sounded echo'd. Thank you, great job guys!!

It’s so difficult because there are victims who some are no longer here because of the choices this man made. But I know he was a kid when he made those choices . He seems very apologetic and he will live a lifetime of that burden on his shoulders and that’s what his karma is . But as a mom of young boys I think if this was my son and I think what if my son was the victim. It’s very difficult. But glad to see he learned from it all

@@runup3639 BOOM! well said took the words from me, but can you imagine being the mother whose son is in prison? the things they go through daily in there, I think death would be easier, you cannot help them once the system has them, you can't protect them anymore, I can't decide what is worse. By the Grace of God, this one made it out, but so many don't and they are lost forever, and their families are suffering with them.

If you commit a crime you pay with the law of man, he paid his crime and other ones he never got cought. It works both ways in life. Example: If you do one burglary and get caught, detectives will clean house with the other 50 burglaries in that area. So many are doing time for crimes they didn't commit. This man can change lives.

I got jumped in my neighborhood (Varrio) at the age of 13 back in 1996. And I was actually claiming the hood two years prior but the homies would not jump me in bcus I was "too young". So I guess 13 was the "your ready for this" age 🤷🏼‍♂️. Although I was the youngest one from my hood at that time. I definitely don't think that its uncommon to start at that age. Especially out here in Southern Cali 🔵 Los Angeles
