As legendary a Joe was....Ièm surprised he didnèt make it 'bigger' than he did e.g. in film and around the world. Ironic....Bruce Lee became more well known and even 'worshipped.......blindly' (by that I mean....MILLIONS are still worhipping the IMAGE of who they think Lee was ...today....eventhough Lee only dabbled in martial arts never sspending more than 2.5 yrs on any one MA e.g. Wing Chun and NEVER competed in MA....locallly, club vs club, a an amateiur, doing forms or parring, and definitely not a a PRO....)) vs Joe Lewis and guy like him--earned his black belt and fought his way up to the PRO ranks. Then dominated for aperiod. He was tested by elite competition . Proven. I guess he just didnèt have enough 'tar power' ....which Bruce Lee DID have--Charima to make us overlook his iffy background. :) 130 POUND 'ENTERTAINER' THAT WAS 'LARGER THAN LIFE'. wHO IS CALLED A 'MARIAL ARTS icon'....GO FIGURE. nOT jOE OR bILL wALLACE (UNDEFEATED MIDDLEWEIGHT WORLD KICKBOXING CHAMP), NOT bENNY uRQUIDEZ (UNDEFEATED WORLD LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMP), cHUCK nORRIS....ETC.. GUYS mucH MORE QUALIFIED.... wHAT GETS ME I IN lEEÈS FILMS----HE UED GIMICS LIKE INTRODUCING THE NUNCHUCKS AND kaALIÉeSCRIMA TICK ....PLAYING chiense CHARACTERS IN HI FILM WHO SHOULDNÈT KNOW HOW TO USE THOSE WEAÔNS E.G. IN eNTER tHE dRAGN HE PLAED AN EX-sHOALIN monk....UED BOTH WEAPONS..ONE IS jAPANESE THE OTHER fILIPINO....HEH...AND NEVER UED sHAOLIN kUNG fU IN THE ENTIRE FILM....yet HE BECAME A MEGA TAR....AN icon.

Awesome video, well put together. I actually got to Train and Spar with Mr. LEWIS in the 1980s. I am a World Champion, and a Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee today. I give Joe Lewis alot of credit for it, in influence and inspiration. 🇺🇸🥋👍

Cool. Do you have any pictures? I love the martial arts guys from the 60's and 70's they started the ball rolling in the US. Joe could've been an action movie star. I miss those days. Ahhh, I'm just an old man reminiscing. Take care.

@@smithe6 There is a video of Me sparring him online, as well as segments of that video that are appearing on other videos online that I have found. But Yes! Joe Lewis could have been an Action Star! Liked the Films he appeared in, Jaguar Lives, Force Five . 🇺🇸🥋👍
