Went to college in Socorro from June 1966 to December 1968. I loved it out there, it was beautiful! The air was so clear. New Mexico Tech was a good school but I majored in partying and became a musician.

In March 1950, Ralph Edwards, the host of the popular NBC Radio quiz show Truth or Consequences, announced that he would air the program on its 10th anniversary from the first town that renamed itself after the show; Hot Springs officially changed its name on March 31, 1950, and the program was broadcast from there the following evening. Edwards visited the town during the first weekend of May for the next 50 years.

More awesome stuff! Thanks, Adam. I've been all over the U. S. Was stranded at Cline's Corners in New Mexico on the 40 between Santa Rosa and Albuquerque a few years ago, coming back from my mom's in Nebraska with a UHaul. The people at Cline's Corners hosted over 200 stranded patrons at the restaurant/gift shop over night. Never forgot their hospitality.

Jay ONeill that’s also the town where everyone knew the toy box killer was abducting women and fucking them in his trailer. Cops, the local bar, and lots of others were all in on it.
@patriot90674 жыл бұрын
Truth or Consequences was a TV game show from the 50's hosted by Ralph Edwards. They had a contest to any town that would change their town name they would broadcast the show from that town. So Hot Springs, New Mexico accepted the offer and changed the name. And every year from then until 1998 Ralph Edwards would return to Truth or Consequences and would be the annual Ralph Edward days parade marshal.
@financialbuttplug7604 жыл бұрын
Jelton Inc. he had several people helping him in the town, but the town had 6,500+ people, so it’s not like the whole town was in on it.

So the fast food place A&W is different in Canada and in the US. A&W here in Canada has the Burger Family, which are menu items and also sort of mascots. The figures on the burger place at 7:29 are the A&W Burger Family from Canada. There’s the Papa Burger, the Teen Burger, the Mama Burger and the Baby Burger.

I love your shirt Adam! I still have my original Incesticide shirt from '92 but mine is black not green. I wish someone had told me that those band shirts were an investment, they were around $20 at music shops at that time. Out of curiosity, I looked up the Nirvana one on eBay and it's like $500 !! I'd never part with it, but man, if I still had all my band shirts I could go into early retirement lol
