The Osprey Daylite Sling Bag is a light, versatile bag that has a few important updates. The previous version could only be slung over one shoulder but you can switch it up to suit yourself now. Coupled with Osprey's excellent warranty you can rest assured this bag won't disappoint you unless you're looking for a bag that can handle everything including the kitchen sink.

Patagonia atom or osprey? The best?

@@DDT186 it really depends on the style that speaks to you. Personally I like the Patagonia because the way the pockets open with for my use. I bring the bag to the front and the zippers are facing up. If you have a longer torso, this bag will open from it's top, so you'd be pulling at a different angle than me. The Osprey is also thinner feeling but is cheaper, so make the durability to cost ratio fit your needs.

Good job. I watched some other reviews where there were complaints about a small size but who wants a big sling bag? Get a duffel lol.

I love the osprey brand, and i have the daylite sling old model and after watching your review, even if im a lefty and thought i should purchase this one, i changed my mind and im gonna stick to my old one because i feel its much more better with the design and its durability. Nice review🙂

Thanks! Any review that doesn't highlight any negatives isn't a review but an endorsement. If you see one around a place like REI give it a quick feel, personally that's how I end up with more bags than I intended.

Maybe you can answer this question; could it fit a 10.5" ipad in it? The old version didn't seem to but this design seems like it might.

I don't think it will, I mean it may fit but it would be some cramped with no advantages as far as padding goes that even if you could, you probably won't want to do that.

I've got the old one, but I let someone borrow it and they're still using it daily. So I've been looking at the new one in the Ash color, seems to be out of stock everywhere though

It actually doesn't, and overall it's too small for a reasonably sized bladder.

Depends on what I've got on me. Lighter loads see me take the Osprey, slightly more than usual I take the Patagonia.

My bag fabric got ripped/scratched at the back. Already sent an email to the local osprey. They said that they don't cover warranties for overseas products. Any idea how to fix my sling back fabric?

If you mean the smaller one that's roughly 10" x 7", maybe, by itself. There would be other alternatives that would give more room and be safer for your equipment. I'm just going off of memory, I had one a while back but not anymore.
