A million dollars per apartment sounds a bit expensive. How high is rent going to be?

It’s interesting. So basically save the landlord use taxpayer money. But don’t address the skyrocketing rent costs. I haven’t met anybody yet that said man I want to rent an apartment but they’re just aren’t any. There are plenty, but everybody is priced out.

Difference between office buildings and hotels. Hotels are thin to give every room a window. Offices are square because there are no partitions, so everyone gets to look out a window.

I worked in the Landmark Tower for almost 7 years. It would be hilarious to get a unit that encompasses my old office cubicle.

Do these office to living unit conversions take into account being able to crack open a window panel for fresh air? The original problem is that cities all over the place were hard up by allowing so many office buildings to be built. Hopefully, local services like decent supermarkets, pharmacies, dry cleaners and little shops for "daily life" will go in. Everyone always talks bout bars, nightlife and restaurants but miss the daily items that the residents of these units need without having to drive.

Office Building conversions are double the cost of just bringing down the tower and starting over again! Plus, the leasing will still be expensive even with the massive federal, state and city grants for doing the conversion.😮

The demand for expensive apartments is low. Mpls needs to adapt and incentivize businesses to come back. That’s the answer.

That's the goal! Stack people on top of each other! Certainly don't encourage folks to have their own home and land with a garden? How dare you have a family? Squeeze everyome in an apartment setting.
