no. it would realistically make no sense for russia to take it, since russian culture is practically extinct there. alaska is culturally much more similar to canada which is why they'd become part of canada. russia really gave up their claim after they sold it, so i'm not sure if they would want to take it, especially with the resistance they'd face. also, you're confused about koenigsberg/kaliningrad. the city was always german, and the reason the soviets got it was out of blatant imperialism really. overall i don't think the russians would have as much sway over the world (especially after it fully mobilized) to realize any claim they had on alaska, and that's even if they try for it

That said, I do think Russia could be rewarded here with resource and basing rights in Alaska. Would be in the interest of the arctic countries to work together.

@@nolan3312 Yes, koenigsberg was 100% German, as it was literally where modern Germany formed (Prussia), they had no real reason to get it, but still did because it was right at their border and they wanted to secure some German lands for themselves correctly, this is why I believe they’d still want Alaska. Also it doesn’t matter if Russian culture is gone there, they’ll just deport everyone to somewhere else and put Russians in their place, just like they did for Kaliningrad.

Yeah I also think all of these “USA versus someone” videos underestimate the technology of the USA and also other technology related things like intelligence agencies and the space force. If you look at the raw numbers of the U.S. military, you would think that we’d get destroyed by just Russia or China (at least on the ground), but when you realize that it’s the quality of the US military that makes it the strongest and not the quantity and you take into account just how good U.S. technology is, you realize why we’re considered the sole superpower. In just raw power I would say that the U.S. is stronger than Russia and China combined. Then add in the intelligence agencies that can pretty much see every movement the enemies make and the location of all of their leaders using the satellites in space and also the space force that can disrupt enemy communications and make it so they can’t use satellites like us. Also, with our intelligence agencies, spies, nuclear defense systems, space force, and more we can start a nuclear war and come out with little to no nuclear damage to ourselves. Plus, since the USA has military bases all over the place, we could probably assassinate a lot of enemy leaders within hours of the start of the war (before they can get ready to defend from it). With all of this, I think it is safe to say that the USA could put up a good fight against the world and probably win, but maybe that’s just me being an American and overestimating our capabilities.

The thing is the US is extremely powerful for all of those reasons, and one things for sure is at the very least, I definitely couldn’t see the US capitulating in this scenario. We also need to keep in mind how intertwined the US economy is with the rest of the world, and this kind of war would cause global economic downturn, and even collapse.

The rest of the world can easily compensate for U.S. being out of the global system probably in a decade or so. The U.S. can sustain itself with Canadian and Mexican territories. But there’s more people in the rest of the world, with more top talent as well, U.S. will eventually fall behind regardless of how much of a lead it has if it becomes isolated from the globe. The U.S. will also need to deal with Mexican insurgents at the same time, which would be supplied with weapons by the globe. It would be in U.S.’s favour to agree to a peace deal.

Beating the US after that though, with literally the whole world against them, would be easy.

The USA might be quite a strong country but you do know that every other country is not fully mobilized, like even Russia isn't fully mobilized. If China were to fully mobilize in about 10 years, they'd be 2x stronger than a fully mobilized America. This is due to the sheer workforce and land for factories that China has compared to America.

The nuclear weapons in the US arsenal wouldn't be anywhere near enough to end the world, nor would the combined nuclear arsenals of all the world's nations. There'd probably be a climate disaster, famine, tons of major cities would be destroyed and the devastation would be immeasurable but every powerful nation, including the US, has taken massive steps to ensure they're still militarily capable after a nuclear attack. If the US fired all its warheads at Russia even in the peak Cold War when they had many times more nuclear weapons than they do today, it'd still be capable enough to attack the US albeit weakened a lot, however the US would suffer the same issue when the warheads hit American soil. In this scenario it's not just Russia but the entire world and all their cities and warheads, plus the US arsenal is much more limited in comparison to 50 years ago. The US can't wipe out enough military personnel and installations to prevent an invasion if their targets are literally every military in the entire world outside North America. Also the other nations have their own highly advanced air defences and early detection systems (though the US is probably the most ready for a potential nuclear strike) so I doubt a retaliatory response would be limited much, if at all.
