Me too! I'm 33 and started listening at 15. I've always been obsessed. They came to Boston and I BAWLED my eyes out the whole set. I couldn't believe I was seeing them in real life. Bert's voice is truly something else.

I am loving this so much. It's been almost 20 years since I have seen them live. It was Taste of Chaos 2005 in Poughkeepskie NY. 2 of my best friends and I went. One of them has since passed and I always hold this show dear.

To people asking about his voice. He had surgery on his vocal chords due to improper technique and throwing up (drugs). I mean i still give hom props for getting up there it probably kills him knowing he cant do it anymore.

I will always love The Used, but I am sure glad I got to see them multiple times with the original member, and when Bert used to put his heart into the vocals. He's literally standing there like he's doing karaoke at a bar.

From what I understand he has been going through some hard times since the COVID shutdown so he’s prolly still gathering himself. I will agree though nothing, touches the early days though 😳💪

@@transylvanianagreed, I’ve seen them many many times the last 20 years, literally my fav band on earth, the connection I have with this band is nothing I’ve ever experience before. The BEST shows I’ve seen have nothing to do with old band members, it was right before the shut down when Bert was in peak physical, mental, and emotional shape! Seen them since 3 times in the last year. They weren’t Bert’s best performances but it literally doesn’t matter, I still leave everytime having had the best fucking time and loving every second! Not every show is going to be perfect! We’re getting old man lol 🤷‍♀️

His vocal cords went through some kind of a major healing process and even surgery if I remember correctly. At one point he was barely able to sing (canyons). He used to be more energetic on stage but I still like his singing style. Best band ever ❤

I love the used but Bert doesn't look like he wants to be there a lot of times and the obnoxious backup vocals ruin the songs now. It's an extremely hard genre to play and sing as you get older but wtf were you guys thinking by getting rid of Quinn?...man nothing sounds the same.

@@thomaslarosa2854 If you're referring to Bert, before the Liars for Lies tour he had to have throat surgery. They cancelled headlining KFMA day here in Tucson because of it. He basically was told if he kept up the screaming he would lose his vocal singing ability. Now he just does some light screaming in albums and doesn't do it live. Last time I saw them, he had another singer from a different band do the screams for Box Full of Sharp Objects. This was a few years ago when they headlined the Rock Star Energy festival in Phoenix.

Bert doesn't scream to save his voice. I get it. It is disappointing because he is one of my screaming influences BUT I have done tours and it makes perfect sense... also he has been a Rockstar for over 23 years. The shit is just as repetitive as flipping burgers after awhile... He is grinding for his family and for his self worth. I give him all the respect that i can. He could have been left behind in the early 2000s but he is still here..

He hasn't really been able to since god knows when, I think his vocal cord operation was shortly after LFTL, so like 2008ish. He can technically scream these days, but I bet screaming more than a couple of words per set would put his cords at risk again

His voice is gone. Wow. Im a HUGE original used fan. From back in the day when only the 1st album was out. Its actually my favorite album of all time. Just cancel the band. This is over.
