It's my favorite ship -- I use it for everything. I did recently lose one in a Crimson Harvest site because it got webbed down. Since it relies so much on speed tank, webbing can really hurt it. I switched to a sleipnir for those sites -- quicker clears and much tankier.

It's my fav ship, I remember fondly back in 2008-2009 when I bought my first one. Currently I'm doing T5 gamma's with it.

It's a bit tight, but you can upgrade from a blingy med shield booster to a blingy large shield booster. Change the rigs to a medium ancillary current router, and medium capacitor control circuit for strong cap stability and you double your tank

Tips on getting fights in FW...play the objective. If you have numbers, run battlefields. You will get N+1'd, but if you choose which battlefield your doing you can place scouts to see whats coming. BF's are good to run if your able to ship up, so sometimes preparing before hand helps (if you have a staging point) If your small gang and you want LP, find area's that don't have good advantage but near the frontline and run the adv sites (rendevou supply depot propaganda listening posts) ADV is arguably more important so most of the time someone will stop you. Not only that if you alternate who places the beacon its garuntee'd LP (so your not completely wasting time) Or, if your wanting a fight, try to push advantage in a frontline system, thats active. You willf or sure get a fight then.

I'm a bit behind on my comments, but thanks for this video. I've had some fun in the Stabber, the tech 1 base for the Vagabond. Your video encourages me to give the Vagabond a go. I appreciate the PVP elements in this video, the PVP fit and the PVP excerpt of actual game play. Cool!

Recently I used a Stabber for the SOE epic arc. I run that from time to time to boost faction standings. I tend to like the smaller and faster style of ships, so a lot of frigates. The Stabber is fast and a lot like a tankier, harder hitting frigate.

lost 2 to tetrimon sites after using the short cut gate keys and getting a full set of oracles on both along with the boss....use the "nearly" same fit for C3 and its become my fav ship as well....and its thanks to you i started to fly it !

Ishtar fodder 😉 at least back in the day when 99% were speed tanked. Back in the day that a LOT of the cruiser class, including many confused Ishtar pilots, speed tanked. My armor tanked Ishtar had a field day back then. Max armor skills + max sentry drone skills made evey speed tanked cruiser and frigate scrap. 😂 What REALLY made me grin was seeing nanosac (speed tanked Sacrilege) because my max trained Ishtar stood no chance vs an armor tanked Sac., hammy fit. 🤕 As long as I could bait speed targets long and well enough, it/they would die. And armor/sig tanked Cynabal was death to me too, even when webbed and painted by Ishtar mid slots 🤢 Yet another great vid capt. Benzie 👍 P.S. The nano nerf was actually a huge Katarrin killboard nerf 😢 I lost SO many targets 😭 The nano nerf was actually the first Ishtar nerf 😢 😂

The Ishtar is such an iconic vessel, but one I've never been able to properly enjoy. I know its popular and powerful, but I just can never get it to work in the content I run!

@@captainbenzie If you're referring to NPC content, then the Istar was a favorite there too. Even fit, ready for PVP. I fit MWD, web, scram, injector w/ 800 cap boost, and 800mm plate medium rep & 2 ENAMs? Been so long ago now. Were there 5 mids? If so then a painter was often useful. 5 lows? But I'd take agro release the minions and kite NPCs. Except for Gurista space the Istar was my go to for for anomalies and whatnot. Even in unknown space, usually, if solo. Gurista space was fun in the Deimos. Also PvP fit just in case I got jumped or whatnot. Rule of thumb 👍 for me was to always be PvP fit in low, null and unknown space. Some say less efficient. I said, "safer" 😁 It MUST be there were 5 mids, maybe lol, there was a # of options for the last mid slot, for hacking module or painter or ecm or...I could solo 10 of 10 in the Ishtar in most regions The Ishtar got bashed SO many times by the nerf bat, it's hard to say how I'd fit and use it now. One of the reasons I retired from EvE. I tried EvE Echoes for a MUCH shorter time. EvE OnLine lasted about 8 years for me, Echoes, maybe a year. A shadow of the real EvE...🤣

For PvP I tend to roll an MWD with disruptor fit with more of a kitey mindset. Drop one ancil for a multispectrum hardener for better fitting space, use tracking enhancers, and throw on at least 1 nano hull in the low for extra speed. Using a scram is great, but once youre at that range it can be difficult to escape (aka pick your fight) With the kitier disruptor fit you dont have that problem. Youre more likely to use Hail defensively however, as most times you'll want to use the longer range of Barrage or the dmg type choices of faction (EMP, Phased, or Fusion) to help with application which makes loooads of difference at higher speeds and ranges. Never hurts to have a pal in a webby loki (or huginn) and a bubbler to provide tackle allowing for maintaining that range. With that playstyle, the ancil hardly sees use-its more of a top up between targets as you whizz around the grid, picking and choosing your victims. Great for hole games as most times lesser pilots will try so hard to chase you down and be 50-60k off the hole before they realize they've made a graaave mistake. Good luck! See ya out there! o7

Love the vagabond because it looks like a pit viper/king cobra. You didn't hear this from me but smart bomb vagabond is incredibly annoying if you can run a solid speed tank

you can downgrade the thukker to repubic fleet and downgrade the medium rep to a large booster 2 and shave around 100m off ur fit with a stronger tank. and just replace one of ur rigs with a semiconductor (more cap with only a minor hit to regen over a CCC) to keep you stable under the nuet pressure from the rats in c3

Vale of the Silent is Frat space, so likely Frat that blobbed you. I'm a Goon living in Delve and ngl, if you got a response down here it'd be as bad or worse than the response Frat dropped on you. I'll see killmails linked in intel for solo roamers and there'll be 15+ dudes on the killmail, none of which are in a comparable ship to the roamer

Nullsec doesn't want fights... They want to overpower you out so that they can get back to krabbing. Look, I get it. But you later see these same Alliances complaining that there's no good PvP 😂

@@captainbenzie Sadly that is true.. they will tend to undock hard counters at 4x the number you have. I took a little group of t1 frigates (about 7-8) all t1 fit and piloted by alpha's and newbies. Just to give them an experience in null. What do they undock in to come catch us? Caracals, Garmurs, Interdictors, vexors, rapid light missile boats of all descriptions. Not salty, it's what I expected really, it's just the way things are now. They sit and wait for content to come to them.

Fraternity have no balls 😂. Just got to move fast so they can't get setup for a drop. We go a hunting in their space all the time. Come say high in Brave space if you get a hole that way! No promises not to be blobbed but no caps and rarely marauders. Just a bunch of blood hungry nerds in standing fleet 🫡. We all love vagabonds too so you will see a bunch.

It's the one I rated as "best" for doing all the C3 combat sites. The Vagabond had very similar clear times, but cost a bit more. That said, I personally find the Vagabond "more fun" than the Sacrilege (and said as much in the ranking video 😉)

Pick a direction, aim for it and go IV in relevant skills. Train the Stabber/Fleet Issue and the Vagabond isn't far off 😉

I have to agree - waaaaaay back when I started with Stabber and worked towards Vagabond. The skill tree for this ship helps in lots of other ways and with other races if you like fast shield tank ships
