As a Vikings fan, I'm in awe of how the Lions responded to that travesty in Seattle. It was inspiring. I'll bet next season can't come soon enough for the Lions and their fans.

I'm disappointed that they didn't make the playoffs, but I'm not dissatisfied with this season. They exceeded everyone's expectations. They tripled, yes tripled, their win total from last year. They played meaningfull games all December, and even this game COULD have "meant" something more than what it ultimately did, but it "meant" something in that it showed this is a team that doesn't quit and could possibly beat anyone, anywhere, anytime, including on the opponent's own home turf.

Satisfied, with great anticipation for next year.

Outside of a late lead steal they swept the division. They are a playoff caliber team, and we have draft picks. My life history tells me this was just an anomaly of a season, but I so badly hope this is a beginning of a new era.

I was disappointed we didn't make the playoffs. But going into green bay and ending arron Roger's season was a great feeling.

Detroit walked into Lambeau complete void of any hope that the season would go on, either way they were bound for the off-season. Everyone else said they had nothing to fight for...it didn't matter. The Lions played all-out, ballsy football and crushed Green Bay, completely ready for the off-season blackhole awaiting them on the other end. It was so BAD ASS. I love this team now, I'm drinking the Honolulu blue Kool-Aid for the first time in over thirty years growing up and living in Michigan, god have mercy!

I think the exciting thing for me is it's not just the players that are growing, the coaches are as well. They won't make the same mistakes over and over

While Campbell has his short comings throughout the season, he has instilled an identity and a motivation to these players and they bought in. Keep improving and have a great draft and this team can be special.

Outside of not making the playoffs, this is probably the best that the season could've gone especially after starting 1-6. I really don't get the mindset of the group of fans that is calling this season a failure purely because they didn't make the playoffs. I'm definitely sad that they didn't make the playoffs but this is the most proud I've been of the team at the end of the season without them making the playoffs.

The only thing that would have made this regular season for the Lions would have been to make the post season, the refs had to use the Rams game to stop the Lions but beating the Packers in Lambeau to end their playoff hopes was the next best thing, that was almost as good as the playoffs. Yes, I think this was the last time we see Rodgers in a Green Bay uniform, he's dropped hints in two interviews that this is his last year in GB, I think he plays for Raiders but his dream was to play in San Francisco. I think that's what he's hoping for but idk if he goes there. He may retire, he's lost a step but question is, can he accept that with his ego

We all have our "stories" and "theories". I'm 54 and a life long Lions fan. We've had GREAT players in my lifetime; Billy Simms, Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford. We've had very good players; Doug English, Pat Swilling, Robert Porche, Chris Speilman, Darius Spay, Herman Moore, Al "Bubba" Baker. We've had guys we had hope for; Eric Hipple, Eric Kramer, Charlie Batch, Chuck Long. But man. . . .We've never had a "team" that plays together, for each other, for the fans. . . .like this! Never, not once IMO have I felt this much promise, hope and belief that that our organization (Holmes and MCDC) are being given what they need from the Ford family to build a winning team! With two first round picks (which I pray we use for defense) our future looks stunning! We beat Chicago twice, Green Bay twice and spit with the Vikings (yes, we should've won both). If your all about the Honolulu Blue and Silver. . . .how can you NOT be smiling and happy!

I mean everyone's expectations for the lions at the beginning of the year was that they were a 5-6 win team. To come out the other side of the season with 9 wins, a couple statement wins, an identity on both sides of the ball, and a rookie class that balled out... id say although its disappointing to miss the playoffs there is way more to be excited about than there is to be disappointed in.

I think you would have to be a longtime Lions fan to understand why the Lions beat the Packers. To the casual observer this was a game in which the Lions had nothing to play for, but for Detroit this was personal. Rodgers and Green Bay have owned us for so long, this was an opportunity to finally slay that dragon and to do so at Lambeau, which has always been a House of Horrors for this franchise. This wasn't another game, this was like hating someone from your old neighborhood. And it shows why Dan Campbell is the right coach for this team because he gets it---He played here and understands the history of this team and its relationship with the City of Detroit. When Campbell said either Detroit was going to the playoffs or Green Bay wasn't going, he was speaking for every single Lions fans who has lived and died with this franchise for the past 60 years. Wasn't surprised at all that the Lions cleaned the Packers' clock.

Im glad they didn't go to the playoffs to lose in the first round against the '9'ers. They learned from it. It will NEVER happen again and my bet is they win their first round.

I found the TV coverage at the end of the game pretty annoying. The Lions just beat the Packers IN Lambeu on national TV when NO ONE picked them to win. and the cameras follow the losing QB (choked away the playoffs with a INT, btw) as he frowns his way to the tunnel instead of showing the winning team. fuck the national media.
