The Valley Of Thor - Thórsmörk Iceland 2021 4K

Күн бұрынA few shots of my latest visit to the Valley of Thor, one of my favourite places in Iceland. With a friend we went on a hike around some of the highest peaks of the valley. Little did I know how sketchy and dangerous the hike back would turn out, following the sharp ridge all the way back to Volcano Huts. It was really hard to film the last bits so unfortunately there is not much footage of the worst parts, but let's just say that I am happy we made it back alive.

Hi. Beautiful video. Quick question, which trail did you take ? Were you going towards Rjupnafell? Thank you

Thank you Veronica! yes we started by going up Rjupnafell. You will definitely see the sharp ridges along the way. Be careful though, it is extremely sketchy to cross the ridges all the way back. We had a crazy friend that took us through it and I don't know how we managed haha You can definitely go up to the highest point of the ridge, where I took the drone shots, and go back down the safe way :)

@@adriannaju4453 thank you for your response. I have been in the past and will go again this August. Will spend the night in the volcano huts. Any recommendations for thorsmork day hikes are extremely welcomed!!

Hello! The first spot is just the entrance to the valley, so definitely you won't miss that! The second one is hard to define, I was flying with the drone towards the glacier on the right hand side of the valley. I am sure that once you will be in Thorsmork you will find everything! It is such a beautiful location
