As someone with 5.500 hours in csgo, listen to this guy, this is really well made and all info given is perfect for a totally new player.

it should be noted that when you counterstrafe in cs, you have to let go of the original strafe key and then tap the other. A lot of newer players think you can just hold both at the same time to stop.

Great video! One small thing that is good to know as a new player is zooming in with the AWP makes noise. In Valorant the Operator (AWP) does not. There will probably be players thinking enemies are cheating while they just heard them scope in which gives away their position :)

13000 elo CS2, faceit level 8, and ascendant 2 player here Some things I want to add (cmiiw): - M4A1-S is better for long range due to its slower fire rate (hence easier recoil control) compared to M4A4. A1-s also can kill enemies with 4 shots to the body, compared to M4A4 which can do 98 or 92 in 4 hits (this is pretty much the equivalent of 140 in 4 to heavy shielded enemies in valorant). But, the M4A1-s has only 20 bullets in the magazine, compared to 30 in M4A4 - Both M4's cannot kill enemies with helmet, regardless of range whereas phantom in valorant kill heavy shielded enemies in one shot at very close range by shooting them in the head - you cannot ADS in AK and both M4s - Armor in CS acts as a damage reduction equipment, whereas shields in valorant acts as an extra HP. Hence, you will almost never rebuy armor in CS2, except if you survive getting shot for 6-7 consecutive rounds - Two types of "flashes" in valorant: nearsight (can only see at very close proximity and can barely hear), and regular flash (cannot see at all), whereas flashes in CS makes you cannot hear and/or cannot see, depending on the range. - Characters move faster in CS2 The closest weapons of each game frenzy - CZ75 (full auto pistol) classic - glock (right click bursts 3 bullets) ghost - USP-S (the only silenced pistol) sheriff - deagle (high damage pistol) operator - awp (powerful sniper) marshal - scout (cheap, light, less damaging sniper) shorty - zeus (one shot in close range, useless in long range) stinger - a worse version of mp9 (very high rate of fire SMG) spectre - mp5sd (silenced SMG) judge - more cringe version of XM1014 (auto shotgun) bucky - nova (pump action shotgun) odin - negev after first 15 bullets (laser beam) bulldog - famas (right click gives you 3-round burst) guardian - none none - scar-20 / g3sg1, galil, aug, dual berettas, tec-9, five-seven, etc.

played CS in 2002/03, then not at all for 20 years. but I did play val during it's first year and had a lot of fun with it. adjusting back to cs2 has been a struggle but videos like this definitely help. didn't realize you could run/gun with SMGs.

It became way harder to counter strafe with current interpolation and movement system, like the time window in which you should strafe and shoot is way smaller than it was in cs:go or it's smth else idk. In "go" I was great at strafing and tapping heads but now... Oh lord, it's so inconsistent

Hey, I've watched plenty of your video. You should play more death match but strictly do headshot and take your time to aim. This will improve your ability to kill and track enemy.

Also one more tip to valorant players coming to cs: use the mic and try to listen to those who are more experienced than you, CS is no game for a muted Reyna player to be, you will get kicked out of every match, griefed and, eventually, banned.
