Qetsiyah’s immortality spell was so powerful that nature had to create doppelgängers. Definitely the most powerful form of immortality in the series.

Her revenge was so creative and layered. She created a cure, then pretended to have already used it on Amara. Then she trapped Silas in a tomb with the cure in his hands, and created a supernatural limbo (the other side) to trap his spirit once he died. And I'm pretty sure she killed herself so that she could meet him there (she still looks young). And when he took too long she created those supernatural hunters (like Jeremy), put the map to the cure on their bodies as tattoos. That ONLY the hunter could see. So they could find him and kill him. And as an extra fail-safe, made Amara the anchor to The Other Side because she was immortal and couldn't die. Eternally punishing her with every supernatural death. Plus Silas would never be able to destroy it, on the off chance that he was revived.

Also, when he would've died and crossed over he would have to go through Amara and cause her an immense amount of pain, while realizing at that moment what qetsiyah did and he'd never spend the after life with her but with qetsiyah 🤯

@@diegorodriguez8006 Yes. That was messed up, but Amara stole Qetsiyah's fiancé. I'm not saying she deserved to suffer because I don't, all I'm saying is that no one is inocent in this story and they all massed up, but everyone deserves forgivness and a second chance.

She really is the most powerful character in TVD Universe if you breakdown her feats. She wasn't subjected to the restrictions of Nature when it comes to using her magic unlike others who were always policed by it. She made a whole other planetary dimension, True Immortality and The Cure for all its versions, even the Devil's. Speaking of the Devil, Qetsiyah's purgatory kept evil supernatural souls from being tortured in Hell and made resurrection possible. She was also the creator of Resurrection and is able to resurrect anyone from The Other Side without help. What's funny is even though she made Immortality in its genuine form, she never wanted it for herself.

@L-Goldwood based on on my understanding and what other people say spirits and nature will only get mad if they resurrect or bring themselves back too many times. Take Jeremy for example bon brought him back and when Jeremy died again she tried to bring Jeremy back again and in return she died

Though the only weakness you listed was being mortal which if you think of it she could easily become immortal pretty much erasing that weakness as she chooses to be that way rather than being restricted to it

In my opinion Qetsiyah is very powerful, the only reason why she didnt show physical combat because she fights her targets mentally, like torturing them with their worst memories, not to mention she can cure an original an all powerful immortal vampire, she couldve ended all of the vampires just like that if she wasnt so hellbent on getting revenge on Silas.

@@Igivegdparent The Otherside's inner workings was never clear. But my guess is that since the Spirits kept punishing Esther, they must've thought it was her mess to clean up. Either that or, as you said Qetsiyah had her own private spot on the Other Side.

Maybe it has something to do with bloodlines and the older the witch, the purer the bloodline. So witches born nowadays might not be as powerful because the bloodline has been diluted due to one of the parents not being a witch or something along those lines. That's just my guess.

Maybe that's exactly the reason they are better. Like, imagine learning something by watching a youtube video. Sure you can do that exact task flawlessly but if I slightly change the problem you would be stumped. But old witches had to figure everything by themselves via trial and error. So they know the subject deeply!

Qetsiyah always had powerful spells and unlike other witches it never actually overwhelmed her physical body. Bonnie would always have nose bleeds etc. Just proves Tessa is stronger than every other witch in the TVD/TO Universe at the time.

If you read what I wrote I said "at the time". The time in TVD when Qetsiyah revived herself Hope was not alive, Inadu did not come back from being banished yet as she only appeared after the Ancestors' link was severed from the New Orleans witches.

Kind of crazy. The doppelgangers always pop up around the same time right since they're supposed to find each other. That means that Elena was supposed to find snd get together with Tom, not Stefan. They'd have been a cute couple too. Him a paramedic, her a doctor.

bc she crated a whole new dimension an elixir for immortality and because Nature couldn’t find any loophole to kill Silas and Amara she did it herself and created the cure for immortality she basically did was nature was supposed to do and she did all that with traditional magic when every witch in this world would need dark magic or they would need to channel something really powerful

No, Tessa had a brother that got cut from the script. Bonnie is an indirect descendant of her. The Bennett bloodline started from the brother.

She created the cure so her immortality drink can work on every immortal person except God's since magic doesn't work on them. She also reasurected bonnie with ease and created the immortality drink which made silas immortal. Also that her raw power alone created the other side but she is so powerful and wasted on revenge because a guy she loved didn't love her back. Her potential was wasted

Inadus uses sacrificial magic too. Which means her power is not hers. That's why a lot of the fandom don't consider her the most powerful.

Inadu may not know as much as Tessa but Inadu is definitely more powerful because it did take like all the originals to beat her.

It would have to be qetsiyah,Inadhu showcased a very single ability of a witch such as spell casting ,advanced telekinesis and pyrokinesis ,however within these abilities she’s vastly advanced which is why she seems so powerful to begin with ,and keep in mind her only feast is creating the werewolf curse and the ability to ressurect individuals,besides that she can posses others however most witches are able to do that after they die so it doesn’t count,now for hope mikealson she showcased the same amount of abilities such as pain infliction however hope had her abilities advanced aswell,and qetsiyah has counter to hope’s loophole nature,

Now I’ll tell you why I choose qetsiyah ,she showcased a vast amount of power such as memory manipulation,and energy absorption through the use of spells ,besides that she has vast skill in tactile telekinesis which was shown when she intentionally ripped out silas’s heart ,her flames are blue whenever ignited meaning they posses high tempatures ,and of course like any other witch qetsiyah posses basic spell casting and pain infliction , Qetsiyah’s feast: 1.she was able to resurrect herself , 2.she created an alternate dimension so Silas could be stuck within limbo itself. 3.she is the creator of the cure to vampirism and immortality. 4.she also created immortality itself. 5.and various times in the show it was mentioned that qetsiyah’s powers can reach a cosmic level effortlessly,

I feel like Qetsiyah, Bonnie, Hope, Freya, and Dahlia are the most powerful witches in this whole universe. I don’t know who exactly is the most powerful I’d say Hope because she is the only Tribrid. I don’t know how powerful Esther is so I’ll just include her in this just in case.

Your forgetting honestly while qetsiyah was no slouch in the power department she was still weak due to being mortal I would put hope, inadu since she created the werewolves as well, qetsiyah and then dahlia then Bonnie in my opinion. Most of these witches cheated death and were very hard to kill like inadu the only way she could die was when klaus and elijah died that was when she finally passed.

@MAVI GAMING Dahlia is a good argument but she’s not more powerful than Inadu and I can give you many reasons. Also, for all her power, Dahlia’s magic couldn’t achieve two of Qetsiyah’s greatest feats: she couldn’t create True Immortality and she couldn’t Cure the Originals to collect first borns every generation.

Quetsiyah is powerful and all but her character is just eh🤷🏻...I mean just because her fiance cheated on her she trapped him in a tomb for 2000 years, and petrified Amara for 2000 years making her feel the pain of every soul that passed onto the other side. And she made a whole new dimension to force them to be together. Just how desperate was she. This just screams crazy. The crime and the punishment are way too apart. This punishment should be kept for someone like Inadu or something, Inadu is a slaughtering machine, Silas was just unfaithful and maybe a bit of a con artist
