I'm 73 and a self-taught former drummer from the 60's. The Ventures were one of several instrumental groups that taught me the art of drumming when I played with a local rock band from 1960 to 1964. The Ventures are 60's gold and they still sound great in 2020! Thanks for posting this memory lane video!

Man, this was a great band, no other band like them since. In 1960 I was six years old, but I remember my older sister playing their records or have the radio blaring when my mom wasn’t home. Then years later when I was a junior in high school, we would have pep rally’s in the auditorium on a Friday during school, then a football game that night, and I’ll never forget the cheerleaders came out and performed to “Walk don’t Run”. I thought that was the coolest thing ever and it really brought back a lot of great memories. I don’t think half the kids even knew that song or anything about The Ventures, but I was one lucky teen that did because of my sister. I found out after I graduated my sister went to high school (same one I attended) with the gym coach that was the coach for the cheerleaders. Small world, great choice of music and wonderful memories.
