In this video, we will learn about verbs to say and to tell in Hebrew. The verb Lomar.
In this series, we are going to cover the differences between the verbs Ledaber, Lomar, and Lehagid.
The verb Ledaber in Hebrew is equivalent to the English verbs to speak and to talk.
We will use this verb when we are talking with someone, about someone or something, and when we speak a language.
The verbs Lomar and Lehagid are used when we use the verbs to say or to tell. Saying something, or telling someone.
Lomar will be used in present and past tense, while the verb Lehagid is used in the future tense, infinitive, and imperative.
After going through this series of lessons, you will be able to master all speaking verbs in Hebrew.
This structure reveals to us many Hebrew key phrases that are often used in speech in everyday life in Israel.

thx ! just a quick question in 7.30min what did you say = ma amart? can we say ma at amart ?

Yes. I said ma amart. "Ma at amart" can only be said when we want to emphasize on the subject like "what did YOU say?". In the past tense we do not use the 1st and 2nd person personal pronouns for no reason. 3rd person personal pronouns will always be used, otherwise we won't know who is the subject.
