Eric Carle wrote this book and created the fantastic collages that walk us through the tedious task of spinning a web. The small, but very hard working spider creates something that is not only beautiful, but also very useful.
An interesting thing about the book is that you can feel the web as the spider spins it, page by page. If you have the book, read along and touch the pages as I read it to you!
Eric Carle illustrated more than SEVENTY books, and most of those he wrote! One well known book you may know is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See." It was written by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle collaborated with him to create the book.
Eric Carle passed away when he was 91 years old, in 2021.
