We've got a local bakery and they do a banh mi with the crunchy baguettes but they have a bakery out the back and make all their own bread goods. They pack a lot more vegies and meat into their rolls - a lot more, for $8... so yeah that one is a bit lacking.

They have the best rice paper rolls in Brisbane, in my opinion.

That actually looked pretty good to me Greggo... 😋🥪 And the price was pretty good too mate... Although where i'm from there's a legendary chain of shops around the city that sell Hot Roast Pork Sandwiches... The Soft Bread Rolls and Baguettes they use are already halved... And the insides are then dipped in a shallow tray of the Hot Roast Pork Dripping Juices... Soft Sage & Onion Stuffing is then added and spread over the inside too... They then add the delicious Hot Roast Pork... Apple Sauce and fresh Pork Crackling are then added... All options offered are optional too... So if you don't like Apple Sauce for instance... You can just request that they leave it off... It's a family run business that was originally started by a local butcher... His son currently runs the business now... And they built a factory shop that produces all of their own produce... Like Bread Rolls and Baguettes... It's also where the many huge Pork Joints of meat are prepared and roasted in their giant ovens... Before a small fleet of vans distribute them in large thermal containers to each individual store... They've been going strong now for over fifty years... People here love them so much... That the business just keeps growing and growing no matter what the economic outlook is... My Australian cousin tried them the last time she visited a few years ago... And she absolutely loved them... So much so that she desperately wanted them to open an Aussie store near to where she lives in South Australia... 😂 All the best Greggo... 👍 Cheers mate. 🍺

Traditional Banh Mi are cheaper than $5 in Cabramatta (for a real good one), and better tasting. I get that sellers need to make money, but they are cash grabbing on a fad. I've paid the same for a Banh Mi with crackle that was better. This one missed some processed meat, some more pickled carrot, and fish sauce.
