She never chewed out the troops. She chewed out the Bush administration because she didn't want the troops dying unnecessarily in the war w/Iraq. The media distorted what she said to make it look like she criticized the troops but in fact she never has. She even stated that Bush in getting us into this war on false pretenses made the USA look like terrorists to the rest of the world, which was an attempt for the USA to wake up & not support him. Again, she didn't want anyone dying needlessly.
@KraXoom9 ай бұрын
Anyone that spoke against the war during that time was labeled as “Unpatriotic”. The fact is the war was pointless and so many of our troops died for nothing. Years later it seems the entire country agrees, which is sad because those that spoke against it back then were ripped to shreds for their views like Rosie and The Dixi Chicks.

Ugh. Elisabeth with that whole "it's not a 'child' you're sending off to war." Rosie said YOUR child. You can be 60 years old and still have a mother or a father. At 60, you are THEIR child. I hate when Elisabeth tries to skew things to make herself sound right.

The filming looks so old wow how far we have come in technology in ten years I can only imagine in 2027 how much better our technology will even be!! It's crazy but anyways I do love when Rosie was on the show then compared to whoopi now because whoopi doesn't let other people talk and her opinion is basically a "fact" . Esp. After she makes a statement the audience always claps for her.. she can say the alphabet and the audience will go crazy 😂😂

I mean the upload isn't the greatest quality. I'm sure if you had the newest and most expensive flat screen television in 2006, it wouldn't have looked that bad, but yes High Definition television has come a long way and I don't particularly think the television personalities are that happy about it lol. You can watch a sporting event now and see the finest details of somebody sitting in the bleachers.

With all due respect twalker191, I hear what you're saying & agree with you... up to a point. The problem is that these 2 men are the ones who do the most poop-stirring w/in the media. It's how they do business. News is processed to make it marketable & they sell the news in a way that yields them ratings. It's done in a way that incites outrage, fear or disgust while appearing to be genial & patriotic. They're about cursing the dark rather than bringing the light. There is a difference.

For what it's worth, I'm in support of whether you like or dislike O'Donnell. Honestly, it matters not to me. I just wanted to point out that your notion that she "chewed out the troops" was erroneous. Feel free to hate her, but hate her based on what she actually said and not what was falsely accused of saying by a media that was spotlighting her for ratings and nothing else. By the way, good luck with the army (and I honestly mean that). Thanks for responding. :)

Very well set out. The goal was to rid sadam of WMD's, which he did not have. To eliminate sadam as a major threat to the US, which has was not. Created a civil war and while sadam was in power, he kept a check on iran/terrorism.

Our point is that America should strive to be BETTER than other nations, especially since we still expect them to cow tow to us. Palin's speech about how we must not "allow" other countries to continue to not be ecologically sufficient was an example. How many other countries are ahead of us in that regard and "allow" us to continue to be destructive? We're only striving for change because now our dependence on foreign oil is hurting us in the wallet. If not for that, we'd still be polluting.

Benjamin Franklin consistently attacked religious dogma, arguing that morality depended more on virtue and benevolent actions than on strict obedience to religious orthodoxy: "I think opinions should be judged by their influences and effects; and if a man holds none that tend to make him less virtuous or more vicious, it may be concluded that he holds none that are dangerous, which I hope is the case with me.
@Edster7316 жыл бұрын
Given Barbara's apparent disdain for negative publicity, she's willing to go to any length to avoid any type of friction (to a degree; I've seen her stand up to people when it's totally warranted). I think she disagrees with O'Reilly but tries to keep it at a "agree to disagree" level. Rosie & Joy are not as pragmatic. Maybe if Barbara didn't own the show, she'd be real a little more. Since she's come under fire for things she hasn't said herself many times, it's no wonder she's a tad gun shy.

As americans we all have a right to choose left, right, radical left/right, religous views, economic views. It's called freedom and liberty, a true american would choose what party they want or none at all, but one thing you have to have in common to be an american, is to want to preserve freedom and liberty, nothing else.

Of course they do it, which is my point. You mentioned 2 guys in particular, both of whom pose as the conscience of America & Christianity, & I responded about them. I'm in no way suggesting they're the only ones. Both the Republican & Democratic parties have news outlets that cater to either side. Like it or not, everyone in this country (including me) go to news outlets that reinforce an opinion THAT WE ALREADY HAVE before we even hear the news, & BOTH parties count on that. It's kind of sick.
