Oh my gosh so you know what the storm did when it came ashore. I live here in Lake Jackson, Texas. I was raised in Freeport. We lost power Sunday night and finally got it on tonight. Trees were everywhere I mean big oak trees pulled out of the ground. We didn’t half ice because it melted so fast. We didn’t have Wi-Fi so if you had service with AT&T you were screwed. We had to go to this grocery store and stay at their parking lot if you wanted to use your phone. Thank goodness for HEB. Some of my friends are still without electricity. And I found a gas station and had to stay two hours to get gas. But before that I was too late and they already had close. Their gas pumps had no more gas to give. I thought I was so prepared. But I made a list of all the things that I needed to increase. I am thankful that I’m at home with electricity. I had to throw away all my food. And I have to wait for my Social Security to come in on 1 August. But I am thankful and I do like to tell him that the man that worked on getting this electricity up worked hard and we are so appreciative of them.
