The smell of carob, sweet figs, and delicious almonds, olive oil of the highest quality… and silence. A true little oasis of peace. If you are visiting Pelješac with your family and you want to enjoy swimming and sunbathing, Lovište is an excellent choice.
It lies on the four-kilometre shore of a beautiful bay, so the sea is always a degree or two warmer than the rest of Pelješac. A fun fact - there are more than three thousand hours of sunshine per year. Perfect, right?
This place of fishermen and farmers in the far west of the peninsula was founded in 1855 and so it is one of the youngest settlements on Pelješac. Today, there are just over 200 residents.
Numerous apartments for rent, holiday homes and rooms, excellent restaurants and taverns … all perfect for relaxation, and if you are a gourmet, you are going to have the time of your life.
Tips & Tricks: Over ten thousand olive trees are growing in the groves around the town, so Lovište is known for its olive oil. You must try it.
