Sad; Masvidal made it to a level in fighting, that only a very, very small percentage, ever attain. However, while his fighting skills and prowess matured, Jorge's inner self, has not. He still cannot see the folly in behaving like a street thug, and is so far behind in that area, just ugly words from another man, are enough for him to throw everything away. Jorge is very literally, ending his own career, that he worked so hard for. No one else did it; he did it to himself. Prayers.

I learned the hard way like Jorge did. It's an old school thing. I beat the living shit out of my daughter's abusive bf and paid a heavy price for it through the courts. Was put in jail for assault, lawyer fee, court fines, 1 year probation but the charge was dropped after that 1 year with not getting into any more trouble.

I don’t even like Masvidal, but its clear that MOST of Covington’s schtick is an act and used to sell tickets. Masvidal, I think, was actually hurt by what Covington did back when they were training and for the things he brought up later. He considered him a brother, and Covington just spit in his face while hoping to make his name bigger and earn more money. Say what you want about Masvidal, he doesn’t seem like someone that would ever do that to someone he considered a brother, and took it very personally. I dont blame him at all.

Granted Colbys UFC character is a prick at times but Jorge overstepped the line this time. I like both these fighters in the octagon but I gotta say it how it is. Colby took a leaf out of the Macgregor book and it backfired. You can't be a professional fighter and get away with fighting outside the ring. Jorge should indeed be made an example for this.
