ok so this response is like 2 yrs late but the reason they cast women to voice young men/boys in anime is bc anime’s are usually super long and if it was voiced by a boy, that boy would hit puberty eventually and his voice would change. but i get where ur coming from

Luca might legitimately be the most underrated Disney movie in recent memory; I’m not even a big Disney fan, and this movie made me cry by the end. Beautiful story of friendship & overcoming prejudice, and a film I suspect resonates with a lot of queer men & boys. Absolutely fantastic film 👏🏾

I watched this with my 18 month old daughter just last night. It is, without question, the best animation film I’ve seen. My sons watched it years ago and told me it was “OK”. The voice actors were great. All of them! We’ve been saying “Silencio Bruno” since last night.
