But Zimmer started composing the soundtrack in 2019, when Diana was 15-16, and although she was of course a truly great singer even then, she did not command the extraordinary power that is on display here.

@@jackburgess8579 She won a lot of teenage vocal competitions to the date, but noone, neither Hans Zimmer, nor me, nor herself could know power, versatility and range of her voice nowadays. And her voice is still changing, likely we'll hear A2 during performance one day.

People already explained to you why Diana was not on the Dune soundtrack but you are in luck since Diana did an original soundtrack for a movie last year and she also released a wonderful video clip for it, for me it was the single best video clip of 2023 so you absolutely need to check it out, it is called "Baikal" from the movie "The spirit of Baikal" (Baikal is the biggest and most ancient fresh water a lake in the world) Diana plays the role of the spirit herself in the video clip and it is GORGEOUS. Diana's voice has little difference between live and studio version because she is THAT good, even though she does 90% of her music live she does have studio versions, you can watch some of her video clips if you want to hear that like ,"Polyusko Polye", "Winter without snow", "The day you...", "With a clean slate", "In my huge city", So it happened the men rode away" whatever you choose you will not lose because she is always stellar.

Очень толковый комментатор. Он видит кое-что важное, чего не видят многие другие - вплоть до цветовой гаммы оформления сцены и костюмов оркестрантов. Хороший вопрос, который он задал: она всё это получила от рождения - или с помощью тренировок? Ответы довольно очевидны. Что касается голоса - от рождения; вам либо повезло родиться с таким голосом, либо нет. Общедоступная лотерея, учреждённая Творцом - но выигрывают в неё лишь немногие избранные. А чтобы уверенно исполнить такую вокальную партию, нужны ещё и годы упорных тренировок. Так что: и то, и другое. Но кроме феноменального голоса, она получила от рождения ещё и свою неповторимую, не поддающуюся никаким тренировкам тёмную эстетику. Эстетику, позволяющую ей создавать на сцене в высшей степени убедительные образы очень малыми средствами. Важная составляющая того образа, что мы видим на шоу "Искусство Ханса Циммера" - её движения. На это он обратил особое внимание - этот парень своё дело знает. Взгляните хотя бы только на движения её рук - необыкновенно выразительные, изящные, и в то же время абсолютно естественные. Они помогают ей делать сценический образ законченным и гармоничным, они, вместе с её мимикой, усиливают наше впечатление от этого мощного, странного, завораживающего звучания. И это тоже чистый природный дар, нечто такое, чего никак не приобретёшь самыми упорными тренировками. У кого он есть - тот сможет его использовать; у кого нет - тот никогда не будет столь убедителен, насколько убедительна в подобных представлениях Диана Анкудинова...

Diana is not on the Dune OST. I've watched the performance of Hans Z. and the original vocalist. The composition is brilliant, and the vocalist is very good. With that being said, Diana's vocals, IMHO, are better. The question needs to be asked, Did Hans Z. even know of Diana a year or 2 ago? There's a very good chance that he now knows of Diana, and one can only hope that he will ask her to collaborate on a future project together. Most impressive to me is Diana's breath support and control. Understand that many hours of practice was spent with her vocal coach to fine-tune everything.

Легкие у Дианы это отдельный феномен. Она так долго может протяжно поддерживать сильные ноты. Это конечно приводит в восторг. Diana said that she and her vocal coach specially developed a singing style for this song. So that your breathing doesn't get lost. Diana's lungs are a separate phenomenon. She can sustain strong notes for so long. This is certainly exciting. Performing live with a large number of musicians and a hall with several thousand spectators is a very responsible act. Diana did it powerfully and beautifully. Watch the studio recording of the Beatles on KZfaq. Diana is 10 years old, it’s amazing.There are many studio songs from Diana. By the way, the songs of the Mask show are all studio songs. The singers do not sing in masks, they only move. There is not enough air in the masks, they almost faint without singing, even wearing and dancing costumes takes a lot of energy.

On the soundtrack, the chant is augmented via layering and electronics. Diana doesn't need that. My hope is that Zimmer can at least find a use for her in D3. Plenty of time to work things out...provided politics permits.

You are misled by the incorrect title of the clip you watched. The correct name is the Show "The Art of Hans Zimmer. OST Dune". This is a world music show dedicated to the music of Hans Zimmer and has traveled half the world in a few years. In 2023, it was held in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Diana performed 3 songs in this show, including a vocal part for the soundtrack of the series "Dune".

Diana is independent. She has refused offers from big producers in Russia and has (and still does) take a lot of criticism for it.

She is not just an insanely talented vocalist. She has natural artistry and emotive abilities. And her exotic beauty - she could be so fitting, for example, in Dune, to play a Fremen priestess who walks into a scene - dark and mysterious and fierce (like she does here) and belts out her insanely epic vocals. I can just so easily see her in something like that. Very nice analysis and discussion BTW. I found it interesting. I appreciated that you caught some of her movements and expressions. These are really a part of what she is doing on stage and as an artist. Well done.

The language is from the Fremen warriors in the movie. It's the song of the sleep of Paul Moi'deeb. This Dune is a remake of Dune that featured Kyle McLaughlin, Sting, and Sean Young. Both movies are fantastic.

To see what Diana can do in the studio, and to appreciate the superb production teams that she is working with, you should check out a couple of her best music videos. Diana's vocals are magnificent and exhibit strings to her bow that are completely different from what you have seen so far. Under the skies" is low budget and of simple conception, whereas "Baikal" is an extremely sophisticated art cinema vehicle, made by the film crew, for Diana's performance of the official soundtrack of the award winning film, "Spirit of Baikal," in which Diana recently made her screen debut (albeit only in a voice part).

You can hear Diana's deep, powerful voice at age 10 live at a Radio Station if you listen to her cover of the Beatles Oh Darling. She was born with a naturally low singing voice, and it sounds lower than it is because it is so round and full and complex. If you want to listen to something in studio check out her release a few months ago called In My Huge City. It's a smooth almost jazzy-laid back song based on a popular Russian poem from 100 years ago and has excellent English subtitles. "Baikal" is a music video from a motion picture soundtrack that came out last year and Diana was the voice of the deceased Mother and the Spirit of Lake Baikal. There are clips from the movie in this music video and it's obviously a studio recording and it's a well financed music video as well. Great English subtitles on this one as well. Anything on Diana's channel will have English subtitle options. Enjoyed your vid

I think its her using the mic effectively for volume and effect, not her trying to open up as you said you notice with yourself.it's also used to grab a big breath when you dont want the breath effect between very powerful notes. Also I usually hear coaches who talk about the effect at the end of a phrase as a ' cry'. I think you were looking for a way/word to describe it. Anyway, if that helps to hear those points...

So, Casper, how did you become this kind of manager-for-hire? It's an interesting job choice... did you ever formally train for this, or just picked up everything as you went?

I started when I was like 13 years old by branding Twitch streamers in the Pokémon community - Made them panels, gave them keywords based on other streamers etc. then kinda just did it "for fun" for friends and such and nowwww it's my job :D I went to uni for it but dropped out to pursue music / content creation last summer.
