Stage 1 220 hp 400nm and 45 mpg even if you drive it like you stole it which aye do 😂😂🤣

Had my 14 plate a year now and still loving it. And the £20 road tax is a big bonus! I pulled the same face too after previous car was £530...

Torquey engine, fun daily driver giving impressive Mpgs. Now , I'd like a GTI-D version, squeezing in the 3.0 V-6 turbo- diesel for Serious Fun ! Either with the 6- speed manual, or a 8- speed automatic DSG sequential transmission. And AWD - Quattro option... Yes, please..

Thats because the taxman changed car tax rates on that year. Every new car from 2017 March (I think) onwards is doomed.

a tuned gtd stage 2 which is not that expensive pushes 250hp and 500nm, with a dsg you would smoke any standard or stage 1 gti, I think the power is more useable no?

Seat Leon FR TDI 184hp is still the better looking car with all the Golf GTDs underpinnings, suspension, engine the lot. & in my cars case a normal manual handbrake.

I'm not entirely possitive about it but I think that FR version is homologous to a Golf Sport and not a GTD, which would be the same as a GTI except for the engine.

A leon fr is for someone who cant afford a gold gtd so they settle for a fr cheaper and more plastic inside
