yeah but a lot of bands don't record the album live. they record their parts separately and put them together at the end to, so it's awesome that this band can recreate that precise togetherness in a live performance

I think the original commentator was probably referring to how tight they are and how good his vocals are. This is essentially a live studio performance which is pretty different from being in the studio recording a record.

In addition to that, you must not have listened past the 1:30 mark, because Mat doesnt just "whisper" into the mic. Its called dynamics. He's singing it the way it is on the record. Watch the whole video I think you might like it better if you give it a full chance.
