That swing at the shelter would have been my spot for who knows how long. The sound of birds, shades of greens, different foliage, light dabbling on forest floor...magical. Your a trooper and warrior for pushing through. Thanks for sharing the adventures.

It would have been so damn easy to stay in New York at your campsite. That’s probably what I would have done. I would have started making excuses to stay and just subsist. But you did it. Beautiful scenery! I've heard a couple of times against dipping the filter end into the water. If the water is contaminated it could transfer the contaminate into your bottle of filtered water. Would be awful to get sick on the trail.
