I thought it was a brilliant first episode. Then again, Andy was always the best TWD had to offer.. so its no surprise he makes this show brilliant also. His reunion with Michonne being nothing but looks in the eyes, incredible acting from both of them.

That was foreshadowed so many times on the show. In the comic books, The Governor cuts off Rick's hand. Loving the parallels to the comics and the series

IMO The Walking Dead was still good when Rick left the show, because of Negan. But it finally feels like we're back to the main story line now.
