The magic left when politics arrived. Iger uses Disney for social propaganda and sx subliminal programming. That is what disgusted my family and friends.@@marauder1394

Daniel Medina So, where forgetting that he brought back Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, as well as calling for the development of two games revolving around old Disney, not to mention Disney Infinity, which is basically a celebration of Disney. I also suppose you haven't seen the Mickey Mouse shorts they're giving attention to. Roger Rabbit isn't really what you would consider mainstream Disney. It was produced under the title of Touchstone Pictures, which Disney created to create more adult films and shows. Disney isn't even making many sequels, and when they do it's because the movie is popular (i.e. Frozen, which has a sequel announced).
@wickedwood04

Daniel Medina. All you did was give your opinion on things. What facts do you want to be read to support your opinions. I suggest you read up on supply and demand and what a CEO duties are to his or her shareholders. As long as Disney is a publicly traded company they will running things as a business. Not to mentions Mickey Mouse is all over TV Disney. They are also making Mickey Mouse shorts again. Are you oblivious or willfully ignorant.

The only reason the Disney company lasted as long as it did was because of Roy; plain and simple. Roy kept the businessmen in check and booted them when they got out of control. Every time Disney tried to stop making movies and only bought the rights to other stuff, he got a new CEO and the company was back on track (Miller, Eisner). The problem is, now that the Disneys are dead for good, there is nobody to stop Iger and the company is already in the toilet. He has let Lassiter ruin the parks and produces garbage movies aimed at helicopter moms. Their film company is in the toilet so he has been buying like crazy (star wars, marvel, fox) but the company has completely stopped producing. Just like the housing market collapse in 2007/2008, the stat sheets show huge profits when nothing is actually being produced. The company/parks will start to resemble Universal Studios in roughly 10 years or less. By all means, recognize someone who is tanking a company.......... #rememberWhenCollegesWereFullOfSmartPeople

one word to describe iger: "respire" To regain one's spirits, as after a period of exertion or trouble. - thefreedictionary. That's what he does - brings life into the company. Ok maybe a better word 'recourse' a source of help in a difficult situation (oxford language)

You never hear anything from Iger about the lawsuit Disney/Lucasfilm lost in the UK last year after the corporate giant unlawfully interfered with an independent British filmmaker who then took them to court ... and beat them. David v Goliath. Google the subject Marc John v Lucasfilm.

Instead of mending the relationship with Pixar, he just outright bought them. Then he sucked up Marvel and changed it. And then Star Wars and ruined it. He even took "Walt" out of the rebranded "The Disney Company." Now it's just a bloated monopolistic media conglomerate. At least Michael Eisner ran it like a quality brand - Disney content. Now it's got R rated superhero films, and the Simpsons, and all that non-Disney crap. Good riddance. Worst CEO the company every had!
