The Fordham Baldies were the inspiration for the ECW tag team "The Baldies".

@@basilmarasco1975 The Ducky Boys got the name because their territory included the duck pond in The Bronx Botanical Gardens. They were from in a tough, mostly Irish neighborhood starting in the 1950s. Ace Frehley from Kiss was a member in the 1960's. I think they disbanded by the mid 1970's. Another Ducky Boyz popped up in a different neighborhood years later (did mostly tagging) but it wasn't part of the original. Unlike the Italian kids who would get recruited into the mafia, the Irish, Black & Puerto Rican kids usually went on to become Outlaw Bikers, drug dealers or associates working for the mafia. Yes, heroin & other heavy drugs were around back then too but most kids had enough sense to avoid it and the ones that did knew it was a big shame and kept their usage very private. You'd never see anybody just laying out on the streets like today.

The dad was probably the inspiration for Haggar in Capcom's arcade smash hit "Final Fight."

You are not the only one. The first time I watched, "The Warriors" was round a mate's flat. He had seen it before (possibly while very drunk, as he used to be an alcoholic) and said that there was a brilliant gang called the Wongs. So every now and again he would say, "This is it, the Wongs are coming up", but, of course, this fascinating gang never made an appearance. I didn't know, until today, while watching a video about "The Warriors" that mentioned they wanted to get the film out before "The Wanderers" came out, and that had "The Wongs" in it that, nearly quarter of a century later, I finally know what the hell he was on about!
