An interesting detail: Adam instant KO Sir Pentious because he saw him as an actual threat, as you can her him say right after: "that could have been ugly", meaning the Death ray that we never saw shoot would most likely destroy Adam, and hey, for someone who didn't get so serious vs Alastor himself that is a very big compliment.

Emily’s squeak when Sir Pentious arrives in Heaven is beyond adorable

Its so crazy how many people thought Alastor would be anywhere near Adam's power level, Alastor's smile truly has convinced people that he's always in control😂

The thing that makes me saddest, it’s that Alastor, whatever he or anyone else thinks, has done the most to help out the hotel and, if he revealed his problems, Charlie would almost certainly move Heaven and Earth to help him too. Angel’s improvement was built on his camaraderie with Husk and his protectiveness of Niffty, both of whom are only there because of Alastor. Sir Pentious, the first actual proof of the possibility of redemption, only gave the hotel a chance because he was challenging Alastor in the Pilot and because Vox sent him after Alastor in the show. Finally, I think Lucifer only reconnected with Charlie after Charlie said that Alastor had more confidence in her dream than her own father, which is what really shook his Pride enough for him to open up to her. All of the Hotel’s accomplishments can be pretty clearly traced to Alastor and his contributions, but I’m afraid Alastor, because of whatever his own past traumas are, won’t be able to accept that people, Charlie especially, would help him out of gratitude and loyalty rather than fear or manipulation.

When Sir Pen died, I didn't belive it because of how sudden and quick it was. When I saw him again, "the madlad actually did it"

A few things; 1: My theory on how Sir Pentious got into Heaven is tied to why he was sent to Hell. He was clearly a military commander in life, so it's possible he ran from a battle he was going to lose, leaving his men to die. And he was redeemed because he stood up to Adam with no hope of living through it. 2: Setting aside all the innuendos, it makes complete sense that Eve would leave Adam for Lucifer. She is unjustly hated for being the root of sin in humanity, just like Lucifer and Lilith. 3: Lucifer's solo during the final song makes me tear up everytime. 4: I still think Lilith is holding Alastor's soul, and she sent him to watch over Charlie. While seven years may seem like a long time to us, Lilith is as old as humanity, so less than a decade is a blip to her. It's possible she simply wanted to go on vacation for some personal time.

Just gotta love alastor pulling out his domain expansion, man really said "naw, I'd win".

A couple things I really liked is one Alastor, Charlie, Vaggie actually had a rough time with their fights and they actually get hurt, makes Adam and Lute look actually actually dangerous. Also Adam's face is based on his voice actor which is kinda funny and sweet.

Knowing Alicia and Nux are friends is awesome. If they ever did a reaction collab it'd be a total vibe

The fact Adam smiled to Lute as he died I think says alot about him. Theres a hugely unspoken bond between him and Lute and if he respawns as a sinner I think his psyche should be investigated. He’s both a hilarious one off joke and an interesting character.

As someone else pointed out in another video, Sir Pentious wasn't even sent to St. Peter, but directly to the High Seraphim. Almost like some higher power wanted to rub it in Sera's face. After all, they recognize him from when they watched Angel. It's completely 50/50 about her: either she'll accept the facts, feel immense guilt for the Exterminations, and work with Emily and Charlie, OR she'll end up in denial and do whatever she can to silence Emily and Sir Pentious from letting Charlie know. And what does Lute even mean by "threatening the very foundation of Heaven"??

Do you realize what Lilith being in Heaven implies? You can actually BUY your way out of Hell. Maybe not with money, but if you have some kind of asset that Heaven wants, you can trade it for a stay up there.

Emily: me finding out redemption is possible and seeing Sir Pentious come back. Sera: me suspecting that Lillith may be evil and seeing Alastor slowly becoming more unhinged and potentially becoming an antagonist next season.

So if you think about it, if Charlie finds out, Penn got redeemed, imagine her trying to explain that to everyone in hell, like all you have to do is be a nice person and die again or selflessly sacrifice yourself (which then i guess becomes a paradox if you’re trying to selflessly sacrifice yourself hoping to get into heaven, maybe I’m overthinking it)

Imagine how one-sided this fight would’ve been if all of the Sins were there, not just Lucifer

There’s so much that can go for season 2. The Vees, Charlie’s renovated hotel, Lilith, Alastor’s deal and Pentious redemption. I hope the wait won’t be too long.

In Vaggie's defence, Lute literally had to rip her entire arm off to get away. It's a fair assumption for her to make that she's pretty much defeated.

Okay but can we appreciate that scene where all the chars get their spotlight in the battle? W for the concept artists for coming up with those sick outfits, for the storyboarders for establishing the scene, for the animators and cleanup for finishing the scene, and especially for the composer who matched each chars w their motifs (angel and cherri had the elec guitar, pentious had fancy brass and husk has jazzy brass, charlie got the disney princess music as usual)

1. Pentius proving sinners CAN be redeemed was something I expected to happen, just not this soon 2. I appreciate that they showed off the power scaling here. Adam nearly killed Alastor and Lucifer treated Adam like a joke. Lucifer's mess up of his line and the visible concern from everybody but Angel, Valentino and Velvet was hillarious too lol 3. Lillith being in Heaven all this time and Alastor being visibly distraught at having to be altruistic due to whatever deal he made has so many potential implications. Season 2 , which IS confirmed to alredy be in production, is going to be AWESOME!

Alastor having a breakdown being on a leesh (metaphorically) is perhaps one of my favorite parts. We see him mad, we see him power, and we see him calm with the smug grin. Now we see him wounded (cause he's bleeding) and trying to find a way out of the deal

Luci fully going beast mode was absolutely cathartic. You know he must have wanted to do that for a long time but lacked motivation till now. And he had a keyblade! You can't tell me it wasn't! Also, Alastor talking about wings is likely about him being free. So it's likely his power was being restricted this whole time.

Alastor seems pissed that he almost died with people believing he cared for his friends. Also, now that we know Alastor's angle, he's here to find a way out of the deal since the deal he made or was tricked into with Lilith in exchange for being the most powerful Sinner probably had restrictions. and his power is being suppressed to really pull all the strings.

That moment with Pentious at the end is everything.

Worth noting with regard to Sir Pentious now being an angel... All through this setting- Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss- we see little details that show Vivzie actually know real lore on angels and demons. Stolas, for instance, is almost exactly as described in the famous demonology text Ars Goetia. Seraphim- the angels shown as the highest in Heaven in this universe- are described by the oldest sources as giant serpents made of golden fire with a hundred wings and a thousand eyes. Sir Pentious didn't just appear at the gates of Heaven. He showed up next to the Seraphim.

Sir pentious deserved to at least damage adam a little bit and then died selflessly.

I think when Al said “unclip his wings” in a metaphorically speaking way. Here is my current theory is that Lilith told Al to watch over Charlie and he plans to use Charlie’s favor to ask her mother to release him from the deal and he has plans to manipulate everyone in the hotel.

Hey so idea that popped up: Lilith made a deal to help Adam start the purge Adam hated hell particularly lucifer and hated that he still had any power (cause you know he seems like a control freak and married his first wife then gave the second free will). The purges started with a "Rebelion" inspired by Lillith and so hell wouldn't act up they started killing sinners. Lilith did this to have some kind of escape? Maybe so she could enjoy paradise or something along those lines and waited like a century before leaving to not arouse suspicion. Maybe she was unhappy because Lucifer showed no major initive or will to do much other than wallow in failed creations and such and thought it would make him take a stand as the king of hell? Another thing: I think hell is flooded with so many sinners because they shut down Purgatory now it is not as far as I know a biblical domain but purgetory was where souls that sinned went when they had done nothing like MAJORLY bad like killing because you where forced to etc you worked to redeem yourself to enter heaven

5:27 - Fun fact: Alastor does in connect with Niffty and is genuinely fond of her. 13:00 - This seems to imply that his microphone stand is actually the main source of his power so it makes sense that he'd retreat after Adam breaks it. (Also a little reminder that he freely gave it to Charlie 2 times in the last 2 episodes! If that's not a show of trust then I don't know what is) Also according to a Q&A the Vees (especially Vox) are going to be the main antagonists in s2 which means it's also going to show us more about Vox and Alastor's rivalry and their past together.

"unclip my wings" is a reference to clipping a birds wings when you cage it so it cant fly as well. He wants to find a way to be free and at full power again

When Adam died, he looked at Lute and smiled. It's a small detail, but it adds some depth to his character. Both Lilith and Eve betrayed him (which is completely understandable) but Lute stayed with him til the very end. He was a shithead and had it coming, but he had some depth in him. Also, it's kinda poetic that Adam, the guy who based his entire personality around being a Manly Man, was killed by Niffty, the character based on a traditional housewife. About Lute, when she was fighting Vaggie she taunted her saying that killing her would be a mercy, since otherwise she'd have to see her girlfriend getting killed. Vaggie defeated her and let her live, only for her to see Adam die in her arms. Vaggie letting her live ended up hurting her more than killing her.

Two things from the final song that I loved: 1. I loved that Lucifer was hugging the sinners and allowing them to hug/touch him back, showing that he cares for them and is starting to see them in a better light and 2. Lucifer confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 4? See him swing that Keyblade around, using magic to fix/build the hotel? Though Hell being a world to visit for Sora, not sure how to feel about that -laugh-

1 love that after Sir Pentious stopped fighting for attention and for others he became one of the most important people in heaven and hell, being the first(that we know of) to crossover 2 i needed to see Alister get genuinely knocked on his butt because the guy was too OP before this, like in a room with him and freaking Lucifer, he was still the most menacing one there 3 did anyone else notice that this was all Adam's fault?(and maybe if he was put up to it by anyone) Sara said that the hell raids were his idea and just how was hell getting a supply(a slow one) of angelic steel? the dude thought his actions had no consequences until it rammed him through the gut

A minor detail I love is in the scene where Alastor and Nifty are talking, in the background you can see Sir Pentious telling Charlie about his feelings for Cherry and her encouraging him and the next scene when he’s talking to her Charlie is in the background watching surrounded by love hearts.

Just wanted to say that I've seen redeemed Sir Pentious referred to as "Repentious". I nominate this as his new name.

Everyone says Lucifer was late but I wonder if he was as early as he could be. In an earlier episode it was implied that there was an agreement between the angels and him in which he’d let the executions happen BUT the hellborn were safe. In this fight the only hellborn is Charlie everyone else is a sinner or angel. Lucifer was bound by the agreement right up to the point that Adam tried to kill Charlie. At which point the non-interference agreement was Null and Void
