The war of words between Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman begins!

7 жыл бұрынRight after the table was officially set for their March 4th welterweight title unification bout, it didn't take long for the war of words to begin between WBC champ Danny Garcia and WBA champ Keith Thurman.
Thurman was calling the action ringside on Spike on November 12th, as Garcia dispatched of Samuel Vargas via TKO 7 - his final hurdle before their showdown this spring.
During his postfight interview, Garcia incited a lout response from his hometown crowd in Philadelphia, prompting a shouting match between him and Thurman. It was merely the first appetizer before what should be one of 2017's biggest fights.

BRONXRICAN DA DON Lucas mathysse sucks and he always did. your absolutely correct he was the favorite against Garcia but check this out EVERY time Lucas stepped up he lost. he lost to Zab judah molina was banging him out and postal stopped him. I always thought Lucas was overrated. with that being said I'm going to be fair about Danny and Keith. I think keith is very underrated and there was a time Danny might have been. but I get the feeling Danny might be sleeping on Thurman with a whole lot of people feeling the same way. we also seen Thurman buzzed and hurt but we never seen Danny chin checked either. if Thurman gets to boxing it could be a looong night for Danny. Danny is good coming forward and very good at countering. But I'm telling you they sleeping Thurman and that's a mistake

BRONXRICAN DA DON He for sure was a unified champ, no doubt about that + he beat Matthysse when a lot of peeps picked him to lose. The problem is, DSG has been a top level champion for a good while now and he fought Salka and a #41 rank in Vargas as a tune-up fight. Maybe it's just me, but I think DSG could've had a tune-up fight against any top 10 or top 15 ranked fighter. #41 rank is insulting.

It's a throwback to the old days when you see ring rivalry theatrics like this. I don't see Danny bringing all he claims to bring & will not be overwhelming Keith. When in there with punchers ( a la Matthysse,Guerrero & even a Peterson),look for him to do his usual....holding,popshots & low blows.
