@@SieurBrabantio it was very fun, we were really coordinated and even had real beurocracy and democracy in place (designers designing something, voting if it should be made, getting the coordinates for every pixel and then the mods approve the design and give the signal to go) if you look closely you can see that all of our artworks popped up instantly

that moment of germany invading france was from the 2017 canvas. This year germany met france twice. but not by invading. germany was moving sideways and france downrwards and where they met they imidiatly formed a eu symbol and an arte logo.

For real, im Turkish and in my schools computer room like 40 kids at the same time was defending the Turkish flag and even our Dads , grandmas , WW1 kid uncle literally everyone on Turkey played it , 120k out of 400k total online players were turks , we were not bots it was new accounts . R/Place was in all news channels in Turkey

The difference between the German flag and the Ukraine flag is, that the Germans (me included) would let other people draw on the flag, to make it the background. Meanwhile the Ukraine flag destroyed everything in its way

Yeah but there wasn't any coordinated effort on part of Ukraine. It was just groupthink by thousands of people who thought Ukraine deserved such prominence. And Germans allowed SOME art. I saw some art that lasted the night until the next day and it was wiped cleaned. Most of the art that was left was related to Germany in some way.

@@DeveusBelkan @S F usually, the art had to be approved to be accepted into the flag, that's why most of the pixels that were placed over night were deleted. A good number of "foreign" art was allowed to be placed on or extended over the flag, such as the the Notre Dame, the Belgian heraldic animal, the small taco, Omori, the collab with Israel, the two collabs with France, the two big cars (one of them build by Italians), the maple leaf, the Star Wars art. There were also many mutual defence aggreements with communities in vicinity of the flag, but others that were further away were also helped, for example Czechia, Italy, France, etc.

@@Mekudan If it has to be approved, the space isn't really being shared, it's being rented out. All one might say is that the Ukrainian flag simply didn't approve as much as the Germans. It is all just pixels in the end, but I don't think it's fair to criticize the Ukrainian flag for controlling its space when the German group literally took much more space and expected people to follow their directions about it.

@@cseijifja no they were only allowed to place white and Spanish streamers and English streamers were already preparing to attack them because they were stubborn and didn’t want to give up some space since they were taking up soooo much so they were deleted almost instantly. If it’d have gone on longer they would’ve lost territory fast as well

@@saulgoodman292 I said that because we know that spanish people used bot and their is evidence like Ibai placing pixel automaticly and the code of their script that was like 140 lines but our code was just 30 lines for an overlay cleary not enough for a bot. In all the french streams you could see that none of the streamers used bots.

The Mexicans helped us both Demolish the French in a time of weakness and defend ourselves during the night. Their help won’t be forgotten. We paid them giving up most of our space to symbolise their help, that’s why they had so much space.

Most of argentineans were improving their flags and helping portuguese to improve Messi and Ronaldo. At some point some of them were bored, so they decided to take the UK flag, wich they successfully achieved making UK disappear from the r/Place for some time

I want to clarify something about Turkey taking over Quebec. xQc made the same mistake of not looking at the footage carefully as to why that happened. In one of the void attacks against the Turkish flag, Quebec actually used this as an opportunity to try and stretch its flag all across the Turkish flag. Turks, seeing this unjustified invasion then regrouped and counterattacked and just took over the entire Quebec flag. The thing is, this wasn't done by the mainstream Turkish community who was helping organise the Turkish side as they were sleeping during the attack, it was done by regular people who happen to be awake in the middle of the night who had just seen Quebec try to invade their flag. So, it was deserved.

The best thing about the Canadian maple leaf is that it never got finished and the Germans just because they can put one on the flag in 5 minutes and then another 5 minutes to tint it complicated... just a flex... Why the Germans were so successful ... quite simply diplomacy, everything that was in the way had an alliance or was wiped out you have also allied with neighboring communities, you have an alliance with northern France, Belgium and many streamers/VTubers, which is why their communities have also built on the borders of the German flag

There is a common German thing when they're on holidays in a hotel: Getting up at 5 am just to put a towel on the chairs at the pool to claim them theirs. And literally invading the expansion of the canvas with the German flag is the cultural equivalent to the towel on the chairs.

germany had a bit of a expansionism problem but we were one of the most peacefull communitys i would say. We even showed Canada how to do the leaf. And the Germany vs France Video is from 5 years ago.

We do, here in r/placefrance we loved dutch art we even helped a bit for the ship one, we also created cool monument like the eiffel tower or notre dame but no one is talking about it aswell, everyone was focused on streamer and their dumb pixel war Unfortunatly because of constant assault on us we were unable to build the mont saint michel in pixel
