When you're working at home... You put the volume a bit louder when the 3rd song 'Old Skin' takes of... Next thing you know, you're airguitaring with your eyes closed, moving your head on the rythm of the song, singing the lyrics together with mr. Granduciel. One of those blissful moments you experience every now and then, just by yourself. Thank you, gentlemen.

No tattoos no piercings no bullshit just a brilliant band of musicians playing intelligent music. I’m 72 and I’ve lost touch with “pop” music for the last 20 years this band has brought me back.

Actually, both Neumann mics sound great, but the U47 OMG. What a sound. Impeccable and super warm. These guys mix the very best of songwriting, harmony, melody, execution, production, and sound engineering, that's why they are top-notch.

Acabo de conocer está banda justo en un momento en que uno cree que la música de calidad ha muerto y que sólo sobrevive en los vestigios de bandas clásicas de Rock y Metal con todas sus gamas y aleaciones. The War on Drugs es una bocanada de aire después de sumergirse en el fango de la cotidianidad de propuestas sin alma y sentido como el reguetón, el hip hop o los corridos tumbados que los jóvenes actualmente idolatran. Tengo 47 años y vivo en México. Larga vida a The War on Drugs. Músicos de calidad verdaderamente talentosos.

I love all these high quality live sessions we get these days. I hope there is a version of this album with the sax up-mixed some day :) I can see my man on the sax jammin but I can't hear him too well here or on the record
