Lzzy and The Warning are close friends now, they toured together last summer and Lzzy liked them so much she had Gibson create a special Explorer model guitar just for Dany and surprised them by giving her the guitar in the middle of The Warning’s set. Yep, they are definitely the real deal.

Everything The Warning does is pure gold!

A few years back Lzzy watched the song "Dull Knives" from TW played during a live session video in The Warning Cave (at their home basement); and loved it so much that invited them to join the tour last year. From then on, the mutual love and respect they have each other had been manifested many times, one that stands out is when Lzzy gifted Dany the custom white gibson explorer during a show in Irving, Texas. It was a surprise gift, so you can imagine how she felt as Dany being a long time fan of Lzzy (there are videos of it). She's been using it from then on to play it live in some songs. Lzzy said then that Dany reignited her passion to play guitar and wanted to pay forward what a musician did for her many years back to someone she felt was the right person to do that for. Lzzy is a class act and all of the TW fans truly appreciate what she has done for the band so far. Last year TW did more than 100 shows mostly in US and Canada and a good 60% of them were opening for Halestorm and for Tree Days Grace. TW has a really fasinating history and may be one of the most documented ones here in YT, I suggest you to dig into, you won't regret it, I think you guys are the kind of persons you'll love doing that. Ale the bass player does not sing lead often because she does not like to. There are a number of videos though of her singing lead when Dany needs to rest her voice. Ale sometimes gets overlooked. She wrote her first song which is on their EP first when she was 9. She signed with Spector bass when she was 13. They made her her own bass when she was 15. For the last few years she has been their featured artist on their website. Her sisters call her the backbone of the band saying she has never been out of time

This was the first single that came out from the 3rd album, Error. It woke up the world because it was the first sample of what they sound like now that they are signed with Lava Records, and had a different producer David Bendeth (google him.... a legend).... and fans of the band were worried because the band are control freaks who do NOT like to be dictated to and write every note, ever word themselves.... but they also love to learn from people they RESPECT... which is why DPA (Dany Pau Alé, you'll see them referred to as DPA often) and their manager Rudy sought out David Bendeth, who is a producer they specifically liked the results of, who didn't make a habit of changing bands but instead of pushing them to greater heights.

It's great to hear a reaction from someone only recently going down The Warning rabbit hole! I was in the same boat after hearing them for the first time at Summerfest in Milwaukee about 9 months ago. I bet I heard 50 bands over the course of the three days I attended, but when I stumbled on their stage and they started to play, my jaw hit the floor and I flat couldn't leave.

Definitely worth seeing live! I actually left the house (thank you meds) and went to see them in Dallas. Met them and they were so sweet and gracious. Worth it.

FYI...there's a live session version of Choke on their youtube site if you want to compare. They toured with Halestorm last fall. Lizzy had a custom Gibson built specifically for Dany. You can see that guitar in the live Enter Sandman video from Teatro Metropolitan.

They toured with Halestorm and Pretty Reckless. Lzzy Hale gifted Dany a signature guitar during one of the shows. Dany thought it was a loaner until after the show when Lzzy said it was hers to keep. There are videos of Lzzy giving her the guitar.

I just watched this awesome reaction! THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is a special song for me 'cause I found this AMAZING band, thanks this video. I met The Warning last August 2021, thanks to the KZfaq algorithm. In those days, I used to heard on those 10-hour videos of instrumental music or nature sounds to fall asleep. One night I woke up at around 3 a.m. and the video had been paused, I was going to play it again but a smiling face caught my attention (which I couldn't quite distinguish from sleep) in the suggestions. I clicked on that unknown video and went to sleep waiting for a sound but nothing happened for the first second. Then, I woke up completely to see what happened and I was surprised to see Dany appear on the screen with her guitar singing the beginning of "Choke". I must confess that for a second, in my mind, I thought that I should be sleeping or dreaming, but when Dany sang "I won't survive the fall" and She let out that "you have been warned" smile, well I said to myself: "OK... I'm ALL IN".

Everytime I listen to Dany's voice it makes me cry man, she's absolutely amazing

Wait till you listen to Evolve and Error. At this point though, i think you guys are all in, so it might be a good time to go back in time to see some stuff they did as kids and then teenagers. The 2014 version of Enter Sandman filmed in The Warning Cave is the genesis of it all. This is a video that they put up for their grandparents, covering Enter Sandman at ages 14, 12, and 9. Unexpectedly it went viral. As of today, i think it has received 23 million views. Then compare to the Enter Sandman they did in 2021 for the Metallica Blacklist album. There are soo many interesting performance from the past. Check out their 2017 TEDx talk, OMV cover of The Pretender, OMV of XXI Century Blood, Their live concert debut of their concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene. The album tells the story of a young girl's unrequited love for a person that doesn't know she exist, obsession, stalking, murder, the battle with her evil alter ego for her soul and her final battle with Death. I prefer the concert at Lunario CDMX, but they did it again for their hometown fans at FORO DiDi. I would be remiss if i did not mention their performance of Dull Knives from The Warning Cave. That was a virtual concert/fundraiser for service industry workers during the pandemic. It was the performance where the President of Lava/Republic Records announced he had signed them to a 5 record contract. It was also the performance that introduced them to Lzzy Hale, who took them on tour and has become an amazing mentor and friend to DPA. Matt Pinfield from MTV, and Rolling Live Studios discovered them here as well. He has become a big fan/supporter. Keep on!

I love the studio recordings. But any of their live performances is just beyond fantastic. I recommend watching a full concert from either 26 or 29 august 2022.

As others have said, TW have a strong connection to Halestorm. Dany has looked to Lzzy as an inspiration for years. AREJAY actually played with the Warning during their recent tour. "Dust to Dust" (I recommend the album presentation video at Lunario kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ist5lapp09GzmYk.html) is a good choice for a reaction video because even though it's a previous work, where the Villarreal sisters had less developed abilities, were already notable (seeing Pau, the drummer, sing while playing energetically, is remarkable) and will allow you to know another facet of them, especially if you pay attention to the lyrics, knowing that this song is the first of the concept album "Queen of a Murder Scene" which tells the story of a disturbed woman's inner journey, from unrequited love to obsession, murder, madness and suicide. The rest of the world doesn’t know it yet but you just watched the best front-woman/vocalist in R&R today! Even Lzzy saw the writing on the wall when she passed the torch by presenting Dany a white Gibson Explorer live on stage after inviting TW to tour with them.

One of my favorite songs of theirs is Evolve! If you listen to it I believe you will see how much of a Banger it is. There is not a song of theirs that I do not like and this even includes their early music from when they were so young. Thank you so much for listening to this band and playing them on your channel. I don't speak Spanish but apparently "choke" and "drown" translate to the same word in Spanish, the difference between them is in the context I've been told which I think is very interesting. Both words are used in the song even though "drown" is said more, but in a sense it's the same thing haha

In the chorus Dany is hitting a D5 which is at the end of an ascending belt. That’s not crazy high for a female vocalist but it’s up there. It’s said that Dany hasn’t even tapped into her pure head voice yet as she’s still maturing and working on her vocals. You’ll notice she starting to add a little more distortion in her onsets live and I’m attributing that to the time she spent with Lzzy…but I’m probably wrong.

I saw Jinjer live in Atlanta in Dec 2021 and was blown out of the water. You need to see them live if you're anywhere close. Since you dig The Warning, there's another EXCELLENT all female heavy band called Plush. They have an album out that kills and their lead singer has incredible pipes like Daniela and Tatiana (but no growls). Almost all their songs are originals, but I'll direct you to a rare cover by them. It's "Isolation" by Alter Bridge. The recording is entirely live in the studio and shows their phenomenal talent. *Choke* (music video & studio version) is my least favourite song on their current album *Error.* But I do like their Live Sessions & concert versions better. At least to me, *"Choke"* studio version was over produced but I understand why. To bring in more listeners to *The Warning Army.*

Hi Guys You should react to Dany singing a song by Lizzy and Amy Lee from Evanescence called Break in. They are an amazing band and Ladies. You should react to Ted ex 2016 and 2017 it's the sisters talking and 3 sings each show but you should Listen Carefully to what they say in between the songs.

Perhaps it's time to pick some tracks that Shannon hasn't heard yet. You literally can't go wrong with any song from them but sometimes reactors choose live performance videos that are lacking in quality because they're shot on a cell phone. For a first time viewing, stick with videos from The Warning's KZfaq channel, especially the ones from the Dakota Bar, Lunario CDMX, or Foro Didi concerts. If you really want to go back in time, look for videos with Liceo in the title, this was a performance from 2015 in front of classmates at their school.

Avatar, a Swedish metal band just released a new album, and dropped this song; a duet with Lizzy Hale. Avatar don’t get enough love on the reaction algorithm waves, but here’s me trying. Also, had I not discovered Jinjer, I would likely not have discovered Avatar (and a plethora of other bands I’d closed myself off to).
