I can personally affirm that these three tiny girls hit you with a wall of sound that is just amazing. I'm a bit on the older side, and I was getting a little tired from standing for several hours and then these girls came on and gave me the energy to even jump (well kinda). Best live band I've ever seen.

Paulina has been singing lead while drumming since she was 10 years old. When she was 11/12 years old she sang the lead on their covers of "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "Back In Black". This is just what she does.

Pau has incredible stamina and specifically trains on a treadmill while singing so she can do it live without skipping a beat. This was a two hour show in their home country with a break in the middle for a wardrobe change, hence why you see two different outfits for videos from this show

One of the biggest highlights of this song is how effortlessly the bass player (Ale, short for Alejandra) switches modes and keeps the melody going when the drums or guitar are muted or silent.

Regarding stage presence, the bassist is 18 years old and already has 12 years of experience performing onstage. There is a video of her playing Diabelli on piano in front of a crowd at age 6. The other sisters also started piano at age 5 or 6 and were onstage. They are amazing live and they are such great people to meet.

I'm a TW patron. Have met them and seen them. This is a video suggestion for you. The song is "Narcisista". It was released in 2019 as a single and performed live for the first time at this concert in their hometown of Monterrey MX. The venue is called Foro Didi, an entertainment complex. They wrote the song in response to criticism of them only doing songs in English and to bands who turned their backs on them when they walked off stage for being a female rock band. This is the link. The song is in Spanish, and Paulina, the drummer sings lead. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hZ15dKiZs5q2fYE.html

Every song from The Warning needs to be reviewed with the lyrics, innate message & back story, if available. Because they are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades. Their profound metaphorical songwriting on contemporary society sets them apart from the crowd. So you can always read what the band says about their songs during your reviews. Their ages at the time of composing a song & playing it in public should be noted too in reviews. This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the song on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then. That is why Dany, guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by the song. The Warning are masters in composing in minor scales. Quite often they introduce a full sequence of major chords for the same verse to break the monotony. And that downward bend in vocals here is typically The Warning with this progression G Bb E A G#m . I mean G & G#m in the same sequence - are you kidding me? Among their 3 full albums & 2 EPs the girls have published a concept album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene where they have mused over unrequited love, death, self harm, suicide & lunacy. Pau was in middle school going through her emo phase when she tabled the 1st draft in front of her sisters. Just to keep it in context, five decades back Roger Waters dealt with death, lunacy & depression in The Dark Side of the Moon. Dive into their rabbit hole that stretches back more than a decade to when they were playing classical piano as 6-8 year olds. Its all on YT. They have practically grown up on social media. After watching your reaction I am confident that you won't be disappointed. Happy diving from Kolkata, India.

Live is where The Warning really shine. Three piece is seriously hard. Cream. Rush. ZZTop. Muse. The Police. and a few others. Not very many have made it work over the past 60 years. The three of them really have it together and are something special. It won't be long before they are doing big shows on their own. Since you are seeming interested in continuing on The Warning path, I would suggest a three video series so you can see how far they have come. The Warning have a wonderful relationship with Metallica’s Enter Sandman. 1) The did a video cover in their basement when they were 14, 12, and 9 that their father uploaded to KZfaq for the grandparents to see. It blew up nad now has ~25M views. Start here. 2) Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning, and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only one week that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video for that is a great second video. 3) The Warning then did their Sandman version at the same Teatro Metropolitan concert you have been watching. This live performance is epic. Several reactors have done these back to back in the same reaction video and been blown away. By your reactions so far, i think you might really enjoy this. Thanks for your thoughts. Love that you have joined all of us down The Warning rabbit hole.

When they opened for Three Days Grace in Canada late last year, after the first few shows they brought Dany on stage to sing Painkiller. They were both playing at Rock im Park and also Rock am Ring, and at both shows TDG trotted out Dany again: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y-BiqLihtcqVf2w.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qJqBiq2Xzd6qf3k.html They opened for Halestorm on two tours last year. At the last few shows on the second tour (I think) Arejay Hale, Halestorm's drummer, sat in on drums for Narcisista (one of two songs in Spanish) allowing Pau to front the song, not merely sing it.

Really appreciating your reaction and commentary. You are correct about the energy that these young women bring at each and every performance. I've seen them three times already and they never disappoint. As far as this particular performance in Mexico City, the lighting and stage presence are amazing. They have worked really hard to be true performers. And, yes, they did a costume change from black outfits to white midway through the evening. Anything else from this show (highly recommend trying "Animosity" ... "Money" or their version of "Enter Sandman" for instance) is worth reacting to as the pro-shot video and audio are terrific. Looking forward to watching you as you continue down this rabbit hole!

Pau has been singing while playing drums for as long as she has been playing drums. When she works out she sings. When she jogs she sings. She is well aware of how hard it is to maintain breath control while playing. I won't say it's second nature to her because it still presents a challenge, but she knows how to do it. And the reason she doesn't sing lead all the time is because playing drums while singing is damn hard and wears you out. But she does sing a lot between the songs where she does the lead and the other songs where she does background and harmonies. They have had a few performances in the past where Pau has come out front and had someone else play the drums for her on their song Narciststa, which she usually sings from behind the kit. Once was her drum teacher at this same concert. A couple of times while they were touring in support of Halestorm, AreJay Hale sat in on her kit for her. More recently, in Philadelphia back in May, their guitar tech who can play drums as well sat in for her. If you think she is amazing when she is sitting down, she's a dynamo as a front woman.

The only thing that has slowed them in the slightest from not being one of the most popular rock bands in the world is that they stayed independent for so long. They had been pursued by record companies for years, including Disney, Sony, America's Got Talent, etc. But, each one wanted to change the band in some way, either to make them pop or sexualize them because of their good looks. They turned them ALL down until Lava records CEO, Jason Flom (a LEGEND in the industry) saw them live in NYC at the end of 2019. He immediately wanted to sign them. They negotiated their contract for 7 months (normally a process that takes 7 weeks) and got to keep creative control of their music and live persona as well as keeping their Patreon following. They finally signed at the end of July 2020. Two weeks later they played a charity 12 hour live stream called De(Tour) to benefit small music venues affected by Covid. That is where Lzzy Hale first saw them and actually jumped into the live chat and said "I want to tour with these girls!" Dany, lead singer/Guitar player idolizes Lzzy Hale, and 2 years later The Warning did 2 tours with Halestorm in 2022. During those tours, at one venue Lzzy Hale gifted Dany a brand new Gibson Explorer guitar on stage to the cheers of the crowd! Now, they are Touring Europe playing Headline gigs, festivals and opening for their other musical idols, MUSE! BTW, everyone notices the amazing abilities of Paulina (Drummer) right away. BUT, do NOT overlook how absolutely incredible both Daniela (lead vocals and guitar) and Alejandra (Bass and vocals, and youngest at still just 18) are as musicians and singers! And, FYI all three are classically trained on piano from a very young age. All three sisters are a once in generation talent! They do all their own songwriting and arranging and don't even let their manager see their new songs until they record the demos in the home basement studio (The Warning Cave). They have what is described as sibling magic, in every sense! Welcome the The Warning Army (TWA), and welcome to the deep and wide rabbit hole your are tumbling into!

Love this song for Ale's bass intro, and you get Dany and Pau on co-lead. The cover of Enter Sandman they did at ages 14,12, and 9 was seen by Metallica. Kirk Hammett said that the drummer kicks maximum a$$. Definitely do the other 4 songs from this show (Money, Animosity, Martirio, and Metallica Blacklist album version of Enter Sandman. They recently released a video for a new song called More. But , when you listen to it, don't call the instrument a cowbell. The Warning Army has renamed it after Pau, calling it a Pau-bell. LOL

Great reaction! Pau is a veritable force of nature! She does it all. Sings lead, controls the laptop which handles the click and backup tracks, and the video in the background when available. She also controls Dany's pedal board at the same time so it loads up the correct song they're playing. All of that and probably more while furiously pounding on her kit. She is also the primary (they all contribute a lot to it) creator for their songs, usually starting them on their home piano before bringing them to her sisters. That's not to say that Dany and Ale are slacking though! Each of them brings so much to the overall experience, it blows my mind how much they are achieving as a 3-piece band. They are currently blowing other people's mind and Warning them over in Europe!

@@TheKillogicEffect Re - Pau's singing: She's been doing it since her first drum lessons when she was a small child (as in, 7 or 8), because her drum teacher encouraged her to. These days, she _jogs_ while singing!! And while they do use backing tracks (you can hear it on this tune in the sort of choral background), they record them all themselves, and deliberately craft their tunes so that they can perform without them in the event of the inevitable "technical issues". The joke is that "It's not a _Warning_ concert without *some* foul-up happening". 😋

Clearly Pau Battalion has a new recruit here... Keep in mind that this was in Mexico City (CDMX = Ciudad de Mexico), which is around 7200' elevation with accordingly thinner air (their home in Monterrey is something like 1800' elevation, so they have a small degree of acclimatization, but it's still about a mile higher). They only rarely have access to this kind of lighting; this show last August (they added a second one, which also sold out) was in a 3000 person venue. They will be playing the Pepsi Center later this year, which holds about 7000 people. Most of their opening gigs have been in much smaller venues. The lighting adds something, but at a 300-400 person venue in Boston last May, the fact that the lighting was very basic Really Doesn't Matter.

The Warning. There is too much talent, virtuosity, beauty, charisma, power, creativity, the desire to be, kindness, support, inspiration, synergy, etc. All of it in a small 3 piece pack (apparently only 3, because behind it there is a great family support) which is very small... But with nuclear content!! And if this were a commodity, and it could be done, I would buy all the possible stock shares of the brand on the stock market. I would do the best business, with the greatest projection and that will give me the best dividends. It's a super safe bet!! TW have a huge list of songs of the best musical and artistic level, complete and rounded, both in their lyrics and in their instrumentation. In addition, they are 3 young women who are each one of the best as human beings and have the impetus to "devour" the world. You put this combination of pure talent and energy on stage and you get: The Warning An unmissable bet!! Your next reaction to TW should be: "Animosity - Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gZ6Gg7teyc-2nGg.html or… "Money - Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7x2d62Z2NCsn2Q.html or… "Martirio - Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rt6bg7d83s-3oY0.html They are original songs like 40 others and more that they have created. And all with "TW" quality, which means: lirycs, instrumentation and performance with the highest quality exposure, because beyond the musicality emitted by the instruments, masterfully executed... Or the stupendous voices, each day more mature and better... Of the deep lyrics, inspired by his innate genius... And the paraphernalia of the "show", which achieves its goal... It's inescapable that this moves you from the depths of your emotions when you observe what the girls are doing in their performance. It's more than a pleasure to see how Pau (and her sisters) really enjoys what she does, which seems to be a game that amuses her so much that she gives herself up, contributing all her emotions and, at the same time, allows herself to be the receptacle of everything that can transmit what's happening to her. happening around you, transforming everything into a virtuous circle of unsurpassed quality. Well, surely only surmountable by themselves. And they've so much mastered what they're doing that they only have to give themselves completely, passionately (as Latinoamericans know how to do), to what they like to do best and most, in a way in which they've fun and fully enjoy it. For this and many more things TW will conquer the world of rock!! INEVITABLE Thank you for reacting to TW, for your opinion and analysis. Great reaction video! Yep- Pau beats that kit like it owes her money. They’re opening for G-N’-R for 2 shows in September and they will be an opening act that’s hard to follow. Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) commented many times when they saw The Warning opening for them, on tour, that they (Lzzy and Halestorm) need to go practice, before going on stage. It is incredible - They have NO bad songs. Some of their earlier songs obviously had youthful voices, but the songs are outstanding. Keep digging- this is one band that is certainly on fire. The future of rock and roll. Thanks!!

Okay...now you get it..this is really fun watching people discover this awesome band... don't stop the show, Enter Sandman will blow your mind, same show... they changed the song for the Metallica Blacklist Album. It's crazy good..very different.. My favorite song from this show is in Spanish. Now I don't speak Spanish but this song "MARTIRIO"is so powerful on so many levels. The drums & the harmonies/ vocals are ...."WOW" moments..TWA🤟🎶☮️

Yes, this is from the same concert. They had an intermission and changed from black to white. TW is like ZZTop - able to fill the venue with sound with only three people! Pau has been singing and playing drums since she was in middle school. Pau is a lead singer on about ⅓ of TW songs; many times she duets with Dany as in this song. I saw them headline in Philly a few weeks ago. They played for 1 ¼ hours.

Greetings from Denmark. I finally subscribed. In my top 3 list of bands are: Nightwish, Epica AND The Warning. I have seen all these bands live, they all have this in common, composition and lyrics are amazing. Fantastic live bands, with an energy and recipreciprocally love btw audience and band. The Warning sisters have a deep understanding of each other and a glance is enough to communicate to the other 2 sisters what is necessary, needed or occasionally (because they are honest and real) a "hey, you messed up. LOL"
@TheKillogicEffect
@TheKillogicEffect Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much I appreciate it! I have not checked out Epica so I will have to make sure and do that as well as check out the new video just released on The Warnings youtube page. I think they probably do have a deeper connection then most bands being all sisters which I believe in turn really helps define their sound. I can think of no other three piece sibling rock band besides this one, there may be some out there but none that I know of....yet....but my point I'm stumbling towards is that they are a rare band on top of having an awesome sound!

One note on the venue; some have claimed that it is an honor to play there and have compared it to Carnegie Hall in NY. This is simply not true, Auditorio Nacional would be the correct comparison to Carnegie Hall. I wouldn't be surprised if the Warning plays there next year. This year they will headline at the Pepsi Center which holds 8000+. Definitively another step up in their career. Teatro Metropolitan is an old movie theater built in the 1940s during the golden age of these theaters and seats 3000+. It operated as such until the 1990s when it went bankrupt. After a few years it was purchased by rehabilitated by OCESA to host live shows. Great acts that have performed there recently include Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Opeth and Kamelot. If you go further back you will find Smashing Pumpkins, Grand Funk Railroad, Garbage, Erasure and The Cranberries among many more. I would not call it and honor to play there but its still a very respectable venue with a lot of history and a long list of not too shabby performers.

Fantastic reaction Killogic! From drummer Paulina - Disciple is a song about social media, right? and how opinions are bought in social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know and how by like feeding ignorance and cultivating hate, like people gain a lot of power and money So that's what Disciple is about 🗣 Thank you for ALL your support! 🤘🤓🍿

Thank you I appreciate it! They are an incredible band without a doubt, I really love their sound! The messaging is spot on and what we need more of. I recently did a video on a band called Voice Of Baceprot who are ironically enough also a three women band and the song was one with a similar message about the doomsayers of the earth and who the real enemy of the earth REALLY is. These ladies are a powerhouse of awesome im really excited to check out more from them and hope to see them live in person at some point!

They had like a 15 minutes break in the middle (maybe they had to, because Ale wasn't even 18 back then. At least here in Germany they have some protections for under-age stage work, so that could be similar in Mexico). They changed from black to white during this break.
