Fun Fact: They've said in the past that they tried really hard to make the song longer, from extended sections to solos, etc, but nothing worked and it just made the song worse. So in the end Pau just said, if you want to hear more of the song, just play it again! And play it again we shall.

The reason TW work so well is because there isn’t a weak link in the band. Larger bands can cover for a bad performer but there’s no where to hide in a trio. Each sister plays her role perfectly and the end result is greater than the individual elements. If one of the sisters was a diva and demanded the spotlight they never would have made it to the level they are now. Don’t beat yourself up for noticing their physical appearance, it’s hard to ignore the elephant in the room but you quickly course corrected and became a fan for all the right reasons.

Don't worry; you'll get to see them live soon enough. Eventually they'll roll around your neck of the woods; just keep an eye on their web site and check their tour dates. The wife and I drive four hours to see them a year ago, and even though it was a kind of truncated set in a "festival" venue, we both immediately noticed that their sound - using just "venue equipment" - was ten times better than anyone else who played that day, and the energy just *poured* out of them like drinking from a fire hose. Well worth the price, even for bands we weren't really interested in. Looking forward to your report once you do get to see them live!! 🤘⚡🤘

Dani is super talented and also super fortunate. She has the best rhythm section in rock music right now laying it down for her.
@elgonwilliams76248 ай бұрын
They had this song and Crimson Queen (which is a Dany composition) before they started to compose the rest of the album. They had performed Dull Knives live. Dany loves to tease the crowd with the opening riff in their concerts, so I suspect this song will hang around in their sets for a long time into the future. Pau has said that while she was composing the early origins of the songs she was in her angsty emo phase as a teenager, which explains the darkness of the QOTMS album. The common thread to it all was murder. The three of them transformed what Pau presented to them into a music miracle, a rock novel. The idea of using the structure of a novel, though, came from their dad's suggestion.

You absolutely have to do a reaction to the full queen of the murder scene album ! Being a concept album songs like ( dull knives) become so much better when you put it in context of the album and the meaning to the lyrics as they are telling just a small part of the story. I think you will really enjoy doing the whole album , whrn u get to the end literally you will not want it to be over and it will leave you begging for more. And yes ,danys voice is awsome in this song and best outro to a song ever ! The sustain on danys PRS guitar at the end is chills to the bone ..such a brilliant song. The only thing wrong with this song is its not long enough.
@steveherman69098 ай бұрын
Not taking from anyone's thunder that have already posted here, but now you've experienced what many in TWA seem to feel is their unfinished track. When listening to the full "Queen of the Murder Scene" album, the length is fitting- sandwiched between "Sinister Smiles" and the title track, it's not just a musical transition, but also with regards to the overall story of the independently released concept album.

The synergy they create together both musically and vocally is through the roof! As someone who also recently discovered TW, there is no limit as to how impressed I am with them. All the compliments and accolades directed at them by reactors and fans are all well earned. But if I could pick just one word to describe them it would be Fun! They are flat out fun to watch and listen to. If I may indulge in a comparison, their song writing is boldly efficient which reminds me of early Van Halen whose songs typically clocked in at 3-4 minutes. I see that same efficiency with TW, all they need is 3-4 minutes to make a powerful musical statement.🤘💪

This is one of the very best songs TW have written. I like it because it is an example of mixing Latino vibes with rock, and it´s a great composition with transitions av tempo changes. And yes, it could be a little longer at the end. But i agree fully with Dany when she heard some one say that a song was to short. "If you want to hear more, play it again!" When it comes to their exterior, I have never thought about it. Ever since I was blown away by the first 5 seconds of Money when they opened for Foo Fighters, I have been mesmerized by their music and performance, and I have a huge amount of respect for their craft! Great reaction, as always!

It’s a damn shame TheWarning didn’t get any air or media coverage from the US! Could it be they were young Mexican women that played rock n roll? Or was it because they didn’t fit into the Taylor Swift disciples? Thanks to review channels like yours and TWA, we get to enjoy the best rock band we’ve seen or heard In decades. Catching a live show is at the top of my bucket list this coming year for sure. Merry Christmas brother and long live TheWarning.
@MrJest28 ай бұрын
I kind of think it's more that at least in the US, they started "flowering" precisely when "air time" ceased to be _the_ dominant measure of music popularity. The granularity of today's music consumption - largely customized individual streaming playlists - means that really _nobody_ will ever again achieve the cultural uniform popularity of previous bands and musicians. It's just impossible these days. I mean, I have an AM/FM receiver in my car's stereo system... I just can't recall the last time I actually _listened_ to broadcast bands. Mostly I play from my SD card's collection of 2000 or so songs, because no commercials, no annoying DJs, and all that stuff. I'm just playing off my "record collection", as it were... all stashed on a chip no bigger than my little fingernail. And that's not even touching the WiFi capabilities of the system, provided I'm parked outside a Starbucks or something. It's a different world than it used to be, but that's OK - I have little doubt the ladies are on top of it and have grown up with this paradigm pretty much all their lives.

a dull knife tears instead of cuts to make a wound... torn wounds are very hard to repair... in this 9th song of the concept album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS), the Queen is considering suicide as one way to possibly stop her evil side from taking hold... in another of the songs on this album, the lyrics talk about water in a tub turning red... this is seen as a female way of suicide because tub would keep the mess all contained and not mess up other parts of the location... to me, the lyric "I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!" is about seeing, gathering, and embracing beauty while retaining only the darkness and gloom that was used to create and protect that beauty... that's some pretty deep stuff, there! Patreon supporters have had access to a stretched version that came about because a particular studio thought that they knew better than DPA. It sounds formulaic, and in that regard trivializes the storyline in my view. Yes, it's short, but it's exactly what it needs to be. They have the wisdom that all too often that more is not necessarily better. They have extended the ending of Dust to Dust and Martirio at a couple of big concerts in Mexico.
