Ale singing lead is always a treat. Dany's voice was hurting that night, so 14 year old Ale jumps in a not only sang lead on a couple songs, but also acted as MC for them that night. If you didn't notice, they had their Orange preamps sitting on top of the amps behind Ale. ;) I also always love to see Ale's first Spector gifted to her by a fan. It's a Spector Euro LX-4 Rachel Bolen signature model. Also, I LOVE to see and hear Dany's white Rick Toone Spearfish guitar (Nicknamed Moby Dick, the great whit wail. hehehe). Sadly Dany went to PRS, and doesn't play her Spearfish live anymore.

ahh! you found a Winged Unircorn! this is when they opened for Stryper, an American Christian metal band from Orange County, California... Dany wasn't feeling well enough to sing so Ale took lead and let Dany rest her voice... *Hunter* introduces us to another (3rd?) character in the QOTMS rock novella... if you have followed the QOTMS album, we know about the Queen, her love interest, and her love interest's interests... this character Dany is portraying is a much stronger and foreboding entity than those we have seen so far... the driving primal predatory bass line that Ale plays to move the song along is certainly a crowd favorite... punctuate that bass line with Pau's drums and yeah... fear and foreboding with spurts of hurried panic... in newer renditions of this song, they did a bit of a change in this song from the original... toward the end, Pau is doing the low voice saying "I'm coming back; There's no escape" instead of using a backing track like they have in the past... she repeats this phrase several times, getting louder each time, until she ends the run with one of her known screams "THERE'S NO ESCAPE!!!"... Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and this one in *Hunter* ... Fun Fact: Pau's home/practice drum setup has 14" and 16" floor toms... in concert she uses 16" and 18" floor toms... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Ale has always disliked being on the mic from when she was 3 or so. It's not a matter being intimidated by Dany and Pau. Ale will step in when needed without hesitation. We were forewarned a few months ago on Patreon to expect surprises on the upcoming album. We were also told we are not ready for what is coming. ⚠️🤔 Ale rarely sings this song, and to do it live, and most likely on short notice to give Dany a break, she knew all the lyrics and stayed on time and in the pocket without missing a note, and those base lines were not easy. She was up and the fret board and fingering notes not just chords.. Hunter is their mom's favorite song from the Queen of the Murder Scene album.

There parents always thought Ale would be the best singer but I think her having perfect pitch works against her some people who have it can sing but Ale knows when she's off key and she's a perfectionist she just needs to train more so she doesn't go off pitch the very few times when there doing mike or sound checks and it's just people she knows she lets loose (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/asuXY9t5qb-7YKM.html)

I don’t know squat about amps or equipment in general but I don’t believe they have toured with Orange cabs for quite awhile. I believe Dany uses a Mesa cab and Ale uses an Ampeg cab. I know Dany uses an Orange Pedal Baby preamp or whatever you call it. You might see an Orange cab in a one off show occasionally but I think those are rented. Dany uses an Orange in both the VMA and Shiprocked performances I believe but maybe they traveled with them?
@RussInCanada6 ай бұрын
They're both sponsored by Orange. Generally you only see Dany use her Orange Pedal Baby, and I'm assuming rented Mesa cabinet. They both played Orange at the MTV show. Ale's usual stage rig is probably also a rental, as the cab and amp are readily available.

In the interest of making sure people understand what you meant, Ale was perfectly on key (she always knows the key, she has perfect pitch), but the song is honestly too low for her to have much vocal power, at least when she was a 14yo. She nailed it, but the verses are written too low for her to sing lead with power. Love this performance though!
@mjc13896 ай бұрын
@@don-musicThanks Don-father! Perfect explanation. IMO, of the fan cam videos this is one of the better ones for the band as a whole but not the best example of Ale’s vocals. She sometimes seems to start a bit timid but by the end is in full voice. The Quarantine show is a much better representation of Ale’s vocals at around the same age. She sings lead on RHNF in it’s entirety and shares lead with Dany on Hunter. Mercury Lounge is a much better version also IMO. Just like her sisters, Ale’s vocals have improved as she’s matured. She’s taking over from Pau as the primary backing vocalist on their newer songs instead of only mainly coming in when they do 3 part harmonies. Pau’s vocal duties are quite extensive if you really think about it. Besides singing lead she sings on virtually every song in a main backing role. At some point it would be very beneficial to the band vocally if Ale takes on a more prominent vocal role to give both Dany and Pau vocal breaks during longer sets especially and it seems that may be what is happening to an extent recently.

It's always nice to hear Ale sing lead vocals. She sings at a lower register and it works for the backing vocals along with the songs she sings lead on when needed. As a lead singer, her voice isn’t as refined as her sister’s which is ok, although it’s probably why she doesn’t like to sing lead vocals in the first place but she definitely has the potential to sing lead if she really wanted to. As ridiculously talented as this band already is, could you imagine the possibilities if the band incorporated harnessing the full power of Ale's voice as a lead? @jamesj.43236 ай бұрын
Can Ale sing lead. Of course she can, but TW has two fantastic lead singers which is already awesome. Ale’s voice is very soft and therefore it is easily overpowered by a heavy and distorted guitar. That is why I don’t see Ale as a natural lead singer of power rock songs. Maybe some acoustic stuff or slower songs with a clean electric guitar sound or piano based rock ballads. OTOH Ale is a fantastic background singer because the range of her voice is bigger compared to her sisters. She sings deeper and all the way to falsetto which is especially awesome for a 3 peace band. So much talent put together in one rockband of sisters defy all odds, and TW is still growing musically.
@randymarple98306 ай бұрын
Dany said to her in an interview that Ale could sing just like her, but she doesn't put time into working on her voice. But that was a while ago. @@randymarple9830 I would like some instrumental only songs from TW. As the range of Ale’s voice is bigger than her sisters voices combined, she can sing the same notes, but not with the same natural power or clarity. You can hear it when they speak. Ale’s voice is not raspy at all. It is round and soft. It lacks the crystal clarity that Pau has and the raw power that Dani has naturally. Pau and Dani have the raspy quality built in to their voices so to speak. Much easier for them and almost impossible for Ale to achieve by working on her voice to a degree that most likely would not be healthy. I would still like to hear Ale sing lead on some songs written for her natural voice.

Hey Liz!!! Welcome, friend!! Thank you for joining our crew!! The bands you mention are all favs of ours (especially Jeremy). We haven't covered so far since he's so familiar with each. However, we've since morphed the channel from "first time reactions") to instead infusing some technical nuggets, so in that case, we could cover these. Would it matter to you personally if we've already seen / heard these albums? (we are big fans of all bands you mentioned.

Apparently Ale's range is almost as good as Dany's, she just doesn't like singing lead.

Hey Darrin!!! If I have it right (Warning Army - help me if I'm wrong, please!)...Dany would be 20, Pau 18, and Ale 16. Maybe even 15...so bravo!!

The two shows opening for Stryper were in February of 2020 so Ale would have been 15.
