In my opinion, their most powerful song. I still get chills when I listen to it, just like the first time I heard it when it was first premiered. Live, it is an absolute anthem.

Thanks for the reaction to an amazing song! The ripped-to-shreds tent structure was a happy accident. It was supposed to be used just as a shelter from the elements during the shoot, but the winds were too strong and ripped the fabric. They liked the look of the torn fabric whipping in the wind, so it ended up in the final video. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. 🤘🍋🤘

Si definitivamente una de mis canciones preferidas, creo que me pasó lo mismo en el 2021, cuando escuché está canción en español sentí esa pasión porque están cantando en su primera lengua, la que sienten, el idioma español permite transmitir mucho esto y pertenece a la naturaleza de nuestra cultura latinoamericana. Yeah, they had a hell of a time with the shoot as the other person mentioned, but there was also because of dust storms and heat. They had to change outfits like several times. It was a very long shoot.

It's all about vibe.

It's a tough one lyrically, I summarize it to mean don't be a martyr of you own making, rise above your circumstances. The direct translation is a bit more confusing than that. Gorgeous video though, shot north east of Monterrey in a pretty remote location. It took all day. it was windy, hot, and had wasps, but the end result is great. Chills? Yes! It is epic!

The Girls of The Warning learned their stare from Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. They had told her that they were uncomfortable looking at people in the eye. Lyzzy told them, pick one person in the crowd. Stare them down until they look away. After that, pick the next person, and so on. They indeed have perfected the stare down!

This song remains as a top favorite of mine, period, not just from The Warning, but overall! These ladies just are so fierce while being such rock stars! They always have the most piercing looks going right to your core! Then add in Dani's powerful vocals, just wow!

Fun fact for ya... One of the characters dressed in black was their mother Monica/Mony and that just makes the video even more enjoyable. I play this on my bass and my guitar at least 3 times a week. One of my favorites.

I recall Pau saying she never could look people in the eye when younger, and had to force herself to work on that.. i never believed her until i watched their earliest interviews…. She could only glance into people’s eyes and cameras…. But Pau being the A type personality she is…. She rapidly became the queen of staring people, and cameras, down.

💯 epic stadium anthem. & their most beautiful composition. Being in Spanish definitely helps. It’s such a beautiful language for songs. & just to add, all the lyrics translations use “martyrdom” for Martirio, which is true, but it also translates to “torment”. & if you read the lyrics using torment it (to me) makes more sense as a song about self-torment, self-sabotage or always playing the victim. Basically pick yourself up, deal with your own shit & break free of your pattern of torment.

There is a version of this with English lyrics. Should be able to search it up easily.

Bro. As much as I love Queen of the Murder Scene, and I believe it's their best album to date.... This masterpiece is my favorite song. If you've not seen the live at Teatro version, do yourself a favor.

I don't speak a syllable of the language, but as a classically trained brass musician I've always been a "music" guy rather than getting invested in lyrics - they could be singing the telephone directory as far as I am concerned. But, this track has a ethereal soaring quality, especially towards the end and even though you've now reacted to this their Teatro Metropolitan performance of the same is a must. With the "oh, oh, oh" section it is going to be a live staple for years to come I reckon and I think it makes the ladies feel the appreciation from the crowd to the point that Danny's voice is sometimes close to cracking during that last wail and in this Teatro performance you can also see the appreciation in Pau's eyes. So many "favourites" of theirs but this one just resonates with me.

in the OMV, the covering over the building frame was not supposed to be shredded... it was assembled whole but the winds had other ideas so DPA/TW and the team decided not to fight it... the flapping canvas makes for a nice atmosphere and works pretty well for this for the video and what the song represents... this is not the first time they've had to deal with the winds, either... one or two of their other MVs that were shot outside were also on windy days... their Foo Fighters cover of *The Pretender* comes to mind... there were also comments about how the blowing sand stung and caused them to feel like they had a sunburn... they did a great and professional job, that's for sure 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

I can't remember which reactor it was, be he said that Martirio has the best outro of any song he has heard, period. I have to agree with him there. I find that I have to crank the volume up a bit more every time it comes on...

This song is so unique and epic and, I don't know why but it reminds me of Caifanes, so it makes me nostalgic but for Mexican rock 🤘🥲 but this is not "Mexican rock", it's THE WARNING!!!

The Teatro Metropolitan version of a song is usually better than the fancy high production video official videos and this one is no different. This is a classic arena rock anthem. You don't even need to know what the words mean.

One of my favorite songs from them. This song is one of the greatest rock anthem songs ever made in my opinion (even with the lyrics in spanish), The Teatro Metropolitan of this is just absolutely amazing, from the song to the way it was shot video wise just incredible. Also they did an extended version at the 10th anniversary Pepsi Center show last October which was pretty cool. I am not sure which The Warning song I like most (there are so meny great ones). But I know that if I wanted to have an anthem written by the Villareal sisters, Martirio would be the best choice.

There’s nothing unusual about getting emotional reaction to music, technically it’s called Frissons - musically induced orgasmic response, including chills, shivers, hairs standing up, tears, all sorts of weird things! Yeah it’s that sort of song, I’ve never bothered to look up the lyrics in English no point for me, it gets me every time 😂

So I discovered that you don’t need to understand the language but just let the music wash over you and enjoy the ride ( also since it is the Warning you know there’s a message to it)
