When Ale really finds her voice and the songs she is ready to belt, watch out. The world will be ready but overwhelmed with her greatness. We already know she has range from the low in Hunter and high falsetto in Sinister Smiles.

Their performance of Automatic Sun at the same show is more energetic.

Their gear was already in LA, because they played the release show at the Whisky the night before

S!CK was the opener when The Warning were in London back in April. It's a fantastic opening song! I'll be seeing them again in Dublin next week, so it'll be interesting to see if they open with it again.

They also recorded Automatic Sun and S!CK live for MTV Push. I feel the recording and mixing are better, maybe a bit more bass and drum focused but we hear everything very well on these performances.

Of the 2 songs at Kimmel, only S!ck was shown on the TV broadcast. The album dropped right after their appearance aired. Since then, mtv posted performances of "S!ck" and "Automatic Sun", and an interview, from mtv Push. The Warning are Push artist of the month. But , sorry Jeremy, no PRS, only Fenders in those.🎸🎸 😁, and the guitar in the S!ck video is pink. A couple other good recent TW interviews: on "Ones to Watch" and "Zach Sang Show" channels.

1st off, LOVE that Puscifer t-shirt Jeremy! The ladies were a bit reserved on this one but it's still The Warning, so it's still awesome! I cannot wait to see where this band will be in another couple of years, the sky is the limit.

When my wife and I watched this performance we both thought the girls looked nervous (and why wouldn't they be?). I get they are seasoned professionals, but playing on national broadcast tv in the US is a BIG deal! Dany even admitted in one of her Dany Day live streams before that performance, that she might not look nervous, but she will be! And you might be right too that there could have been technical issues (they had to perform without their click track at the MTV VMAs)... things happen that could have compounded the nerves. I'm just guessing of course, but that was my take that they were just being very careful to perform the song immaculately instead of being their usual crazy selves.

Yes, Pau is a little reserved in this song, but on Automatic Sun Pau is herself. I do not know why Pau seemed a bit subdued here. Maybe the soundcheck did not go well and she was concerned with how they would sound live. Only guessing here but I agree with you Pau seemed a bit off here but Automatic Sun which was not shown live on the show she seems herself. Good reaction and thanks.

Of the two songs they did, I've seen "S!ck" quite a few times live. This was probably the first time I saw "Automatic Sun" live, and the sound and video were much better on it.

Great mix, better than the studio version to my ears (although the MTV Push version is my favorite). I agree Pau seems more reserved than normal. Her body language normally screams even when she's not singing LOL! Based on the sound, I don't think the mics on her drums were setup ideally, so maybe? Always love your reactions!

Regarding Pau, it's definitely just the song. Watch the Automatic Sun performance, she's her normal "beat the crap out of the drums" self.

Looks like Pau whacked her right knee a couple times accidentally at some point during this performance as evidenced by her Instagram from the show. This might have made her performance a little less animated but also, Pau sings very few backing vocals on this song.

Live is always better for me. I know you don't want to hear that Jeremy but it is what it is! 🤣 As far as Paus drums go... she has two sets to tour with, and one that stays at home. The white DW kit stays in the US all year in storage. The Black DW kit is used for anywhere outside of the North American Continent. All 3 of her kits have a customized to fit, full DW cage. She is a DW sponsored artist. If you see her on a kit at any show, and it doesn't have the cage, it's a Rental/Loaner, from DW themselves provided by a local music shop. She skinned her knee bloody that night on Kimmel as that rental wasn't set up right for her, and might be why she was a bit reserved being "out of the pocket" so to speak. They did this song twice (producer said the first time the crowd was to tame), and then they did Automatic sun. As others said, she got into it more by then. You should listen to it as well, ya know, because it kicks ass. 😜

Sometimes.I've heard people complain that Pau always talks too much comparing with Dany and Ale, but as Dany said she doesn't feel that.comfortable speaking in English ( I dentify myself with her), and Ale, doesnt' like talking that much either, so actually it is not because she likes the spotlight. Although many people likes them, sometimes I feel she is the most criticized. But maybe I dont have to pay too much attention, because with her.personality , she always knows the right way to answer to those comments in English, and I feel the worst are.in Spanish. I don’t think that is Pau’s drum kit because it doesn’t have her cage. They only travelled to LA for this performance and a short show at the Whisky A GoGo between tours, so it is unlikely they would ship her drum kit just for that. I suspect it might be a loaner kit from DW, since they are based in California, and Pau is now a DW artist. 👍😎

Pau has a set of white DW drums that she refers to as Bon Bon. It was intended to be her traveling kit for their first US tour, which was caneled due to the Pandemic. This kit doesn't have the mounting rack around it, which is set up with the proper mounts especially for Pau. Also Luis, their father, modified the rack for Pau's size and reach. This kit doesn't have the rack, so there is a good likelihood that it is a rented kit, in my opinion. Also, their gear was already in on its way to Europe for their festival tour. I think the one in Europe is the black kit that also has the rack. Who knows? They knew about the JKL appearance enough in advance to do whatever they needed to to get their own equipment there. Dany and Ale travel with their axes. Pau may travel with her cymbals. You may notice that Pau doesn't have the computer beside her. I wondered if they were performing this without the backing track, but you can hear the track in some of the sections of the song. So I think one of their road crew was doing the backing track. Also, that may have thrown Pau off her game a little bit because she is used to operating the floor switch pedals for the backing track. As you know, anything that breaks a routine for a performing musician is unsettling.

The mtv push performances of sick and automatic sun are way better .

Maybe reacting to MTV Push's AS will give you an idea of the differences. JK's sound was more in line with what a broadcast transmission is. ⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘

Pau hurt herself while playing there, not clear when that happened. There is a picture of her knee all red, she also winced with pain while doing the live album release the next day. Maybe, that’s why she was more reserved, maybe she was playing while hurting. I think the sound is not that great during this show, both S!ck and Automatic Sun sound way better during their live performance at MTV push.

Ok, this is great! JEREMY, please tell all of us out here what is the deal with the sound system, especially the feed going to broadcast TV? It doesn’t sound good or at least what we have come to expect & appreciate with The Warning. This seemed better than Automatic Sun (give that one a quick listen) but vocal levels are off and the drums are kinda muted at times. You mentioned Pau being reserved and that is totally true on both songs and I'm wondering if they were not happy with the prep for the gig plus I dont see Pau's laptop next to her. SO.... Jeremy do they not get to use there own sound techs at Kimmel.

one thing to note is that the broadcast performance of *S!ck* was, at least in part, a 2nd take... apparently the stage manager was not happy with the crowd interaction so after some instruction, they shot it again... yes, it was prerecorded earlier in the afternoon... personally, i'm not happy with the audio and the camera crew seemed to not know how to focus on all three so we get more of Dany and Ale with minimal shots of Pau... overall, though, it worked and got the desired exposure 👍 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Pau has different kits depending on where they are. She’s currently using her black one in Europe and she uses her white kit in the US

They often mix Ale too low for my liking as well. It's fine though, they do their thing and it still sounds good. I think there was more reserve possibly due to studio limitations? It's still there a bit in _Automatic_ _Sun,_ though not so noticeably.

IMHO, Pau was probably concerned about the video wall crashing since it had to be run off her laptop to be in sync with everything else. Automatic Sun didn't have much on the video wall.

Yes Daniela's voice was great. Yes, she performed great. Yes he looked great. Yes, her dress was great. BUT, they BEST thing she had going on was the phenomenal tone from her PRS and amp.

I don’t think Ale is uncomfortable with singing. I think she just prefers not to. I do hate it when her mic is so low she can barely be heard though.

As for Pau's drums, yes a good drum tech can tune a rental rig, but just remember...Pau is short and her father Luis has custom fabricated/reinforced her DW drums perfectly for her. So...maybe a rental...not so great?!?!

The camera was not on Pau as much so maybe she did not feel the need to be as expressive. You can hear Ale more on the MTV version of sick

Idk if you guys are on their patron, but there's a few streams on there too. In their "1 year patron anniversary " stream Ale sings one of the songs and it's one of the better quality versions I've heard where you hear her pretty clearly.

I think most of us know who the special guest is already. You said "she" and we "know her" that plus who I know is going, well 2+2=4.

The mix on the Kimmel videos isn't very good. It's heavy on the guitar and lead vocal, but the backing vocals are barely audible, the drums sound thin and flat, and the bass is in the background as well. Contrast that with the MTV Push videos of the same exact songs and you can really hear the differences. The Push videos are amazing studio live performances. Everyone is easily heard, both instrumentally, and vocally.
